"I don't understand why I have to come with you. I know that you're perfectly fine... A lot skinnier than before but perfectly fine. I hate grocery shopping Aya, why did you have to pick me?", regardless of Cameron's passionate complaints, the handsome redhead got a shopping cart for them and they started down the aisles. Aya gave him a sideways glance before shrugging him off, shaking her short spiky hair as the beginning of her rebuttal. "You know perfectly well why I asked you to come with me... I needed to get out of that house and Mom won't let me go anywhere without company and you are the only company I can tolerate right now."
After she had gotten sick the entire family had started treating her as if she were fragile and made of the weakest glass which irked her to no end. Her entire family coddled her and asked her where it hurt and if she needed anything, as if she couldn't get anything done herself. The only one who seemed to treat her normally was Cameron and in him, she found salvation.
It had been no surprise to her later on in her recovery that her relationship with Monte Mondego deteriorated and eventually faded away. That was probably the hardest part of her time away and Cameron was the only one she had opened up to. He was the only one who encouraged her to stay strong, always saying that she could overcome it, that she would be fine. There was no pity in his words and that had been so relieving.
Her hair had grown back and was now just short enough to be styled into a spiky fashion. She had also decided to keep it that way. Two new piercings now adorned her ears and she had gotten them to remind herself of her experience and she had surpassed all her trials. She absently grabbed a box of Honey Bunches of Oats from the shelf and tossed it into the cart.

Taylor groaned as she pushed the shopping cart, frustratingly making her way down the cereal aisle. She was relieved to have an excuse to leave her godmother's crowded house. which was the only reason why she had accepted this errand in the first place. She hated going grocery shopping. In her mind, it was an activity that only housewives did. Taylor may have been a lot of things, but a housewife certainly wasn't one of them.
She was in the process of scanning the shelves in search of her sister Morgan's coveted Frosted Flakes when she spotted a flash of red hair. At first, it didn't faze her. After all, red was a common hair color. There were millions of redheads in the world, including her own sister. Not only that, but Taylor herself had spent the first thirteen years of her life as a redhead.
It wasn't until she pushed the cart further down the aisle and caught a glimpse of the person attached to the bright red hair that she began to panic. Her fear was quickly joined by a range of other mixed emotions, most of which she could not explain. She tried to calm herself down. She tried to reassure herself that it wasn't him, that she was merely projecting his image onto a complete stranger. Still, no matter how many times she convinced herself, the person still remained the same, mentally confirming that the person she had been avoiding for over six months was in fact standing just a few feet away from her. Completely taken aback by his appearance, she paid little attention to the cart and wound up knocking over a few boxes of oatmeal. She quickly bent over and picked them up, praying that he hadn't seen her.

"Gah. Aya, you know I hate the Honey Bunches thing! Frosted flakes, FROSTED FLAKES!" Aya glared at the tantrum-causing Cameron, her eyebrows raised in hesitation, "Are you on something Cam?" He chuckled and grabbed a box of Kellog's Frosted flakes and tossed it into the cart just as something crashed down behind him. He turned his head, curious at the noise and what he found made him smile like a little school boy.
"You know you have got to be more mature nowadays Cam; I've been gone for so long and you're still a crazy little boy trapped in a teenager's body." Her mutters were ignored by the redhead, however as he took slow steps to the blonde girl who was picking up the boxes of oatmeal that had fallen. "Well look who we have here..."
"I mean come on, you're older than me. Aren't you supposed to be-- Cam, Cam? Are you even listen...ing. Oh." The short-haired girl turned to find Cameron staring down at a familiar blonde girl. Taylor? Yeah, that was her name. She smiled a little and shook her head in amusement, "I'll be looking for Georgie's baking ingredients. She's been itching to cook since this morning and if she doesn't do anything later, she's going to kill someone." She was sure her words went unheard though.

The girl's familiar voice calling out his name proved once and for all that Taylor's mind wasn't playing tricks on her. Cameron Tay was in fact standing right there before her very eyes. She had done everything in her power to stay away from him, even going away to college and keeping a somewhat low profile during school vacations. Judging by the fact that she never saw him, she assumed that her plan was working beautifully. Yet, after moving to another town hundreds of miles away, he turned out to be the first person that she ran into. The irony was almost comical.
"Hello there, Cameron," she said, trying to hide her feelings behind her cool tone of voice. She bent over and picked up the last of the oatmeal boxes, making sure that she didn't maintain any sort of long term eye contact with him. Hearing his voice was emotional enough, but those blue eyes would be the absolute death of her. After making sure that the boxes were in their rightful place, she busied herself by looking at her shopping list. "I'm sorry I can't stop and chat. It was lovely seeing you though." Sighing a bit, she began pushing the cart down the aisle.

Danian walked almost aimlessly through the grocery store. Jade had sent him out to get the essentials while she set up the rest of the house. He couldn't figure out how she had ended up with the better job, and he had wound up the little housewife out shopping.
Grumbling slightly, he looked in the direction of the commotion in the cereal aisle and smirked. Some airhead had knocked over a bunch of boxes. Turning back, he caught sight of a girl who seemed to be talking to herself.
He moved nearer to her, his smirk even more pronounced. "Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness you know."

Cameron's smile widened at Taylor's reply. She was avoiding him! Or trying to at least... He wasn't sure what he had done to offend her so; their last night together as he recalled had ended quite well. Life had been so busy after they had found out Aya was really sick; each member took turns flying all the way to the Philippines to keep her company until the entire family just up and went there together. Then just as they had returned, a hurricane hit the entire town and destroyed everything; not his way of welcoming home, definitely not. Now the girl he had sorely missed was living in the same town as he was, and she was avoiding him! Oh what a conundrum indeed.
He moved quickly and grabbed her wrist, stopping her from walking away from him with a big hug. "I've missed you Taylor, why are you avoiding me? Shouldn't you be smirking at me and welcoming me to this lovely town with one of your kisses?" As if he couldn't wait, he leaned towards her neck and nudged her with his nose. She still smelled the same, spicy and sweet and so addicting. "Didn't you miss me?"
Aya moved the cart along, muttering to herself about what Georgie would need. "Flour, sugar, eggs, chocolate... A lot of chocolate. Fruit..." She passed by the liquor section and longingly gazed at the bottles of Russian vodka that lined the shelves. "Damn drinking age." She shook out her hair on impulse and made a 360 turn to go back to the cereal aisle for the oatmeal she had forgotten when she almost crashed into the smirking guy who had spoken to her. What did he say? She smiled at him, the soft smile turning into a cat-like grin; she could feel the challenge in his words, "And you're talking to someone who might be mad? What does that make you? Bi-polar? Or do you just live for the challenge?"

Danian lifted his hands from his side to ward off the oncoming trolley and stepped sideways. He grinned as she responded, he wasn't sure if she was just going to ignore him and continue having her singular conversation.
"Neither. I was just wondering if you were getting good answers to your questions? I don't usually know any of the answers." He turned his own trolley in the direction hers faced. "So who were you really talking to then? I'm guessing they're still around here somewhere?"

Aya tilted her head, the highlighted strands moving to cover her face before she blew at her bangs, "Sorry about that...", her grin turned cheeky when she realized she had almost run over him. She kept the cart parked with her foot as she tugged on the hem of the purple oversized shirt she was wearing, revealing one pale shoulder as she moved. "I'm afraid not; you never get good answers when you talk to yourself... Most of the time, your decisions get really messed up or you just get really frustrated." She shrugged as she pushed her cart back towards the aisle she had just abandoned, grabbing some oatmeal and dropping the box into her cart before she glanced at the cute guy again, "My cousin.", she gestured at the redhead who was at the far end of the aisle with Taylor. "But as you can see, he's quite preoccupied. What about you? I don't see you as the housewife type."

Danian shook his head, the shadow of a frown crossing his features. "No, definitely not the housewife type. My sister decided that she'd be better at putting the furniture together, while I came here and got food for us." He shrugged slightly and leaned his elbows on the handles of the trolley. "She's just going to know what a mistake that was when I get home with nothing she needs and everything that I want."
He chuckled mischeviously, extending his hand. "I need some help with my mission, my name is Danian, but I go by double one seven. Not anywhere near as cool as 007, but that's the number they gave me."

Aya snorted in an unladylike manner, a ghost of a smile passing her lips as she listened to him introduce himself, "Typical male, so difficult to rely on these days." She gave him an over-exaggerated sigh as she took his hand and shook it, one eyebrow raised in disbelief. "Double-one huh?", she snorted again before a fit of giggles overcame her and she started to laugh as she moved to the next aisle, filled with things Georgie would need. She grabbed the flour, sugar and vanilla, along with baking powder and the rest of the things she was mentally ticking off on the checklist in her head. "So, double-1 what's this mission of yours about? Or is it one of those, 'I'd tell you but then I have to kill you' deals?"

Danian couldn't help himself and chuckled along with her. "I need to find every useless thing in this store, so that I can take them home with me today. But this grocery store is pretty big, and the useless things are few and far between. So I need a helper to lessen the load."
He raised an eyebrow and smirked. "So you nicely avoided telling me your name, so what should I call you instead? If you don't tell me, I'll just call you Spike." He tugged playfully on one of the tips of her hair and grinned.

Aya glanced at him, a sneaky grin making her mouth twist upwards, "Pain in the ass brother is your real job huh? Not double-one or housewife, but pain in the ass brother." She shook her head in amusement before responding, "But why the hell not, I'm sure Cameron will be a while and I'd like some new company for a change; I'm getting sick of only seeing my family everyday."
Ayame moved to the farthest edge of the aisle and found long thin birthday candles of different colors. She took a pack and tossed it into Danian's cart. "Birthday candles. So useless even you won't have a use for them." She waggled her eyebrows mischievously at him as he tugged at her hair. "So you noticed huh? Well, I don't mind being called Spike. Spike it is then." And she moved to the next aisle, leaving Danian behind.

Seriously? She's not telling me her name...she'd rather be called Spike? Seriously?
Pushing his cart quickly, he pulled up along side her. "Hey now. You don't know that my sister isn't the pain in the neck, and I'm just retaliating. You're judging me before you get to know me." His lip lowered into a mock pout and he looked away at the shelves. Brightening suddenly, he grabbed a package from the shelf and spun around. "Look Spike! Teething ring!"

Aya bit back a smile when he caught up to her and started protesting. Her eyebrows were raised when she paused by the next aisle, "Your sister... The pain in the neck? She's giving you the easy job and she's the pain in the neck? That must be some sister." Look Spike! Teething ring! She almost burst into a laughing fit at that but she held it in and gave him a bright smile instead, "You guys don't have little kids right? Toss it in." she gestured to his almost-empty cart before moving ahead of him again. "So did you guys just move here?", she called out absently as she reached for bars of cooking chocolate, semi-sweet, for Georgie.

Danian grinned to himself. She was calling him a pain, but it didn't seem like she wanted him to leave her alone. "Nah, we don't, that's why it's perfect! I know, I could buy a whole ton of baby stuff! Jade'll go nuts!"
He looked casually into her trolley, then up at her face. "Someone at your house have a really sweet tooth? Or just stocking up for the next ten years?" He paused, and tossed baby wipes and a rattle into his trolley along with the teething ring. "Yeah, we moved in a couple days ago. We used to live in MABTown, until the hurricane wiped it out. Have you heard of it?"
