After Sam showed his brother his second pair of shoes, he stopped midway to glance over to Hanna. "Yeah! I wan' food!" he exclaimed, jumping up and down on his toes. Olivia simply nodded her head in her own response to Hanna's question. "What's for lunch?" she finally asked, while pulling out her sandals to show Jake next.

"I'll make some mac & cheese and some chicken nuggets while you guys show Jake the rest of your stuff and telling him about your day." She answered with a small smile. "It should be done by the time you guys are done." With that she turned to walk into the kitchen to start preparing lunch.

The kids nodded to Hanna and returned to showing their new stuff to Jake. "Looky these shoes!" Sam squealed, holding up his spongebob slip-ons followed by his two new outfits.
"Very cool, Sam!" Jake grinned, taking a closer look at the matching spongebob shirt before turning to Olivia next. "What about you, Liv? What'd you get?"
Olivia shrugged, and held up her sandals next, followed by her two outfits as well. "Oh~ those are cute, Liv." Olivia blushed at this comment.
"Hanna said that, that she could do my hair sometime, too." she added in bashfully.
"Really? That's cool. So I guess this means you're taking a real liking to Hanna as well, huh?" Olivia nodded slowly, and again, shyly at that question asked.

Hanna busied herself with making the food, and it wasn't long before the noodles were boiling and the chicken was close to done. She smiled at Olivia's comment about her doing her hair, she'd forgotten about that promise. "This means I need to get some hair stuff." She mused to herself as she stirred the noodles. She began to drain them next so she could add the cheese, smiling again at Jake's question. Hanna really did hope that Olivia liked her. Soon, the food was all done and Hanna was putting them on plates, taking juice out the fridge. "Lunch is done~" She called.

Olivia nodded slowly, playing with the seem of her new shirt, before folding them as best as she could in front of her. "Well, I'm glad you guys like her."
"D'you like her too?" Sam asked suddenly.
Jake was quiet for a moment, before he let his smile grow wider then. "I do, Sam. I like her very much." with that answer, Olivia looked back down to her clothes, her smile slowly losing sight. Jake saw this, and immediately began wondering, what was it that Olivia not like about this situation? She said she liked Hanna, and was even glad that Hanna was nice enough to let them stay in her family's home. "Olivia..." he started to say, but got interrupted by Hanna's call that lunch was ready. Jake sighed. "Come on, guys. We can put away your clothes later. Let's eat." he said instead, letting Sam run ahead of them, grabbing his seat before anyone else, while Jake took his time leading Olivia to their seats, his hand on her back comforting.

Hanna turned as she heard the three coming into the kitchen, placing their plates in front of them. "I have orange juice and apple juice." She said, pulling the two out the fridge, and placing cups in front of them as well. She also pulled out some ketchup and barbeque sauce to place on the table, finally taking her seat at the table and pouring herself some apple juice. "Hope you guys like it."

"Mmm..yummy!" Sam immediately squealed, and grabbed his fork and began digging in as soon as his food was served. "Oh! I wan' app'e jui'e." he mumbled with his mouth still full of mac n cheese.
Jake simply gave him a look of disapproval and Sam almost right away swallowed his mouthful of food. "I'll have some apple juice too, Han." Jake smiled to her, grabbing his own glass and pouring it himself.
Olivia had already started eating without saying a word, until she realized she forgot something. "Thank you." she didn't want to seem too rude to not say anything.
"Liv, you want something to drink?" Jake asked, holding up a small cup to her.
Olivia nodded slightly. "Orange juice?" she asked, and Jake simply nodded and poured her drink and slid it out in front of her.

Hanna giggled at Sam, shaking her head. She squirted the barbeque sauce onto her plate, smiling over at Olivia. "You're welcome." She took a bite of her mac and cheese before dipping the chicken into the sauce. "I hope everyone likes it."

Once everyone was situated, Jake took place in his own seat, and squirted some barbecue sauce onto his plate next, dipping his first piece of chicken in it and taking a bite out of it before changing to the mac n cheese next. Sam reached out for the ketchup bottle, which was just barely in reach with his short little arms and he squirted what seemed like a bucketful of ketchup next to his chicken. He sung out 'la la's' every now and then to show he was enjoying his meal. Olivia however, was quiet at the table. It was starting to worry Jake again.
"Liv?" Olivia glanced up for a second to her brother before returning to her food as if she knew what he was going to say next. "You're quieter than usual. Everything okay?"
Olivia nodded, taking a sip of her orange juice then. "Just hungry. And a little tired from today." she said cooly in her soft voice.
Jake looked up to Hanna then, his face still showing a bit of concern for his sister.

Hanna happily ate her meal, glad that things seemed to be going well, for now at least. She smiled at Sam's apparent happiness over the meal, but she couldn't help but be concerned at Olivia's current state. She met Jake's gaze with her own worried expression, biting her lip. Is it me? "M-maybe I should go eat in my room..." She suggested quietly, already standing and grabbing her plate and cup.

Jake started shaking his head slowly to Hanna, but as soon as she stood up, he couldn't help but practically blurt out, "No. I-I mean, it's fine Hanna. She's just tired. She has had a long day, after all. Right, Liv?" he tried explaining, with the best attitude he could bring upfront. Olivia nodded without even looking at her brother, and continued eating her mac n cheese for she had already finished her chicken. Jake looked from his sister back to Hanna, mouthing to her, "I'll talk to her later." in a promising sort of way.

Hanna couldn't help but feel slight discomfort. Olivia had seemed fine while they were out, but every time Hanna was anywhere close to Jake, the little girls attitude seemed to change. After a moments hesitation, Hanna slid back into her seat and continued to eat her food in silence, nodding to Jake and lowering her gaze to her food.

For a while, they sat in silence, except for Sam's little "la la's". And as awkward as it may have been, Olivia was actually the first to break the silence. "I'm gonna go in the room. I'm really tired."
Jake looked over to her with a slight smile. "Okay, Liv. I'll be up shortly." Olivia nodded, and left without saying anything else.
Once Olivia was out of sight and in the bedroom, Sam piped up next. "Can I go to playroom? My food is all gone." he said, holding up his empty plate and almost empty cup.
"Sure, Sam, go ahead." Jake grinned, waving him off and waiting till he was out of sight too before he turned back to Hanna; his worried look back in place again. "I'm sorry about Olivia. I'll go talk to her." he simply said, already getting to his feet.

Hanna quickly finished her meal in silence, waiting for the kids to leave before standing and gathering the dishes. "Alright." She sighed, going to place them in the sink. She really hoped it wasn't her that bothered Olivia, though she really thought it was. Hanna didn't know what she'd do if Olivia didn't like her.

Jake shrugged, "Again. I really am sorry." But before she could say anything to that, Jake rushed up the stairs to have a little talk with Olivia.
He knocked on the door before entering himself. "Olivia? Mind if I talk to you for a bit?"
Olivia was found sitting on the bed cross-legged. "Nothing's wrong." was the first thing she said. "I'm just tired, is all."
"I didn't say anything was wrong." Jake defended, inviting himself to sit down next to his sister, leaning his back against the bedboard. "I just wanted to talk."
Olivia nodded, her expression not changing. "I like Hanna, Jake. I really do. It's just...." she returned her gaze in her lap, twiddling with her fingers.
Jake seemed as though he knew exactly what she was going to say though. "....you just don't like to see me with anyone else other than you, or Sam. Is that right?"
"You don't pay attention to us like you used to." Olivia continued, neither nodding nor shaking her head to his question. "You're not around that often either."
After much time together, Jake finally got Olivia to come downstairs again to see Hanna. The two walked down the stairs together, Jake's hand giving Olivia a little push as she sort of dragged herself down shyly.
