Hanna finished washing the dishes rather quickly, even finishing cleaning up her mess and putting everything away before Jake returned downstairs with Olivia. She'd assumed a position at the table, her head resting on it with her eyes closed, since she was starting to feel fatigued from the long day. For that reason she didn't notice Jake and Olivia returning.

Jake and Olivia had arrived back in the kitchen, Olivia still acting like her shy self and having to be pushed towards Hanna still. "Um.." she started, managing to look up at Hanna, still twiddling with her fingers. "I...um, sorry for acting weird around you earlier. I do like you. I really do. I just....um...I'm not really used to seeing my brother with anyone else 'cept for me and Sam." her voice softened at the last part, looking back down at her hands.

Hanna looked up when Olivia began talking, her gaze softening and a small smile playing on her lips. Ahh, so that's why... "I understand. Thank you for explaining it to me." She spoke softly, running a hand through her hair. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like I was taking Jake away from you. l won't ever ever get in the way of you guys."

Olivia tilted her head back up slowly to meet back Hanna's soft gaze to her. "Okay." she nodded slowly, her voice still shy and slightly shaken. Jake smiled through the whole thing, and gently stroked Olivia's head having her look up at her big brother. "How about you go play with Sam for a bit, Liv?" Olivia stared blankly at him, wondering why he wanted her to leave them already. "Just so Hanna and I can talk for a bit ourselves, okay?" Olivia continued staring blankly at him. "Go on, I'll be down in like, ten minutes okay?" Finally Olivia nodded, and slowly turned herself around and left the room towards the playroom where Sam was.

Once Olivia was gone, Hanna's smile turned into a worried frown and she looked up at Jake. "I don't want her feeling like that. It's just gonna make things awkward..." She lowered her head back onto the table, sighing softly. "I feel like an intruder or something..."

Frowning as well, Jake went over and hugged Hanna comfortingly. "I know, Han. It's just, the truth is...I'm not so used to having a girlfriend. What with everything that's happened to us and all." he admitted, keeping his arms wrapped around her middle, kissing her forehead sweetly. "So much change is going on with us, its just...." he sighed, "its just crazy right now. I still love you though. I really do." he added in, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.

Hanna sighed when Jake hugged her, turning to wrap her own arms around him and place her cheek against his chest. "I understand..." Hanna kept a frown on her face though. She now felt like she was complicating their lives. She focused her gaze on the pattern of the table, not saying anything else.

Jake too, remained silent for a moment, and continued to hold Hanna close to him, giving her a peck on the head every once in a while. "I just hope things change for the better soon." he mumbled under his breath. "Sometimes I feel like I'm intruding your house."

Hanna looked up at Jake when he said that, kissing him lightly on the lips. "You're not. You can't intrude if I invited you." She cupped his cheek, running her thumb lightly across his lips. "Trust me. My mom adores having kids in the house again." Her voice grew soft as she kissed him again. "I adore having you here..."

Jake gave a half a smile to her, lifting one of his hands up to cup her cheek as well. "Thank you." he kissed her softly on top of her lips. "For everything. And I promise, when I am able to rent an apartment, aside from my siblings, you're going to be the first person I invite to live with me." promised, stroking her cheek lightly with his thumb, and kissed her lips again.

Hanna giggled softly, tucking her face in the crook of his neck. She kissed his cheek, smiling. "Hopefully by then I'll be old enough to get a job." She pulled away only to wrap both her arms around his neck and kiss him again, this one lasting a bit longer than the others. "I love you Jake."

"We'll have to see how long it'll be till I have enough money." Jake told, returning the long kiss back to her. "I love you too, Hanna." he whispered back in her ear, kissing her neck. Then he remembered something. "You know, I think we better head down to the playroom. I told Olivia I wouldn't be more than ten minutes....and unless I'm mistaken, It's been eleven minutes." he let out a slight chuckle in the end.

Hanna nodded, reluctantly pulling herself away from Jake and standing. She was a bit uneasy about going down there and making Olivia uncomfortable, but she didn't want to separate herself from them every time that feeling washed over her. Hanna tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, looking back up at Jake. "I haven't been in the playroom in so long."

Jake gave another half a smile, holding out his hand to grab Hanna's as if to lead her himself. "It'll be fine, Han. And if worse comes to worse, well, Sam will always love you. You saved his life after all." he reminded her, his smile growing a little bit more. "Come on, it'll be fine." he repeated to her, his voice sounding as sure as ever and he lead her down to the playroom where Sam and Olivia sat there playing as well as waiting for their big brother to join them.

Hanna giggled, shaking her head. It did make her feel better to know that Sam would always like her, though she hoped that eventually it would be because he actually liked her as a person and not just because she saved his life. Hanna laced her fingers through his and followed him downstairs, sitting a near the kids, but not saying anything.
