Cameron's feet hit the sand 30 minutes before he planned to meet up with Taylor. He wanted to run at his own pace for a while so he sprinted along the sand, letting the salty wind whip at his face and hair as he focused only on gaining more and more speed. Once he finally exhausted himself he dropped onto the sand, gasping for air. He didn't mind that his hair was probably full of sand, the warm sun beat down on him and he closed his eyes, wondering where Taylor was and wondering what would happen.

Taylor arrived at the mostly deserted beach just before sunset. If someone had told her this morning that she'd be here, she'd call them crazy. Up until about an hour ago, her plans consisted of possibly attending a noisy and wild keg party with several good-looking frat guys. Yet, all that changed as soon as Cameron texted her. The next thing she knew, she found herself packing an overnight bag to stay at her godmother's place and hurriedly leaving campus to spend an evening with the one guy that she knew she should stay away from. As she walked further down the beach, she spotted him lying across the sand. Unable to control her already confused emotions, she bent over him and gave him a tiny peck on the lips. "Boo," she said, smiling wickedly. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't help herself.

Cameron had closed his eyes when he was suddenly kissed. His eyes flew open and when he saw that it was Taylor, his arms shot out from his sides to slide around her waist before he kissed her again. This kiss was definitely more than a brief peck; he just wanted to show her how much he missed her and how much he hated the fact that she had the odd habit of running away whenever he 'got too close'. He pulled away only when he was out of breath and returned the wicked grin. "Hey yourself."

Despite being completely caught off-guard by Cameron's kiss, Taylor found herself totally surrendering to it, parting her lips and wrapping her arms around him as well. She hadn't meant to get so caught up in the moment, but there was just something about him that made her lose control. Not only that, but she'd missed him terribly, more than she was willing to admit. Even though she had been successful in avoiding him, she hadn't been successful in eliminating him from her thoughts. She sighed briefly as he pulled away, her lips still tingling. "Wow, that was some hell of a greeting," she said, laughing in an attempt to downplay her feelings.

Cameron grinned at her. "Sorry for throwing you into the sand..." I just missed you is all... He quirked his brow at her and shook his head. "Aww come on Taylor; when have my kisses ever been not up to par? Tell me this moment and I'll make it up to you ten-fold." He waggled his eyebrows suggestively at her before chuckling and glancing back at the sky, a myriad of colors and seemingly flavors that all seemed to meld and collide into one beautiful canvass... Kind of like his own feelings, though they could never be as beautiful as the scene before him.

Taylor shook her head and brushed the sand off of her clothes. "That's quite alright," she said, combing her fingers through her long blonde hair to pick the sand out. "I can just wash it out in the shower, no big deal." She bit her lip in response to his question and paused for a moment, pretending to be very deep thought. His kisses had always been up to par; in fact, they were outstanding as far as she was concerned. "You've done fine," she said, smiling at him. "Perhaps I should ask you the same about me." Trying to shake herself out of her comfortable flirty demeanor, she glanced out at the ocean and added, "Never mind, I think its best that I don't know." She needed to pull herself together before she pushed him on the sand and showed him just how much she'd missed him.

He got off the sand and brushed himself off before offering his hand to Taylor so he could help her up. "Good. Well I wouldn't say they were just fine but I can deal with that." Cameron grinned at her as he started walking backwards; the sandy path before them was still long and they could walk the entire length if they wanted. "I like how you kiss." He muttered honestly before glancing at her. "I have a confession to make, I already went running and I admit that I can't run much anymore today so I was wondering if we could take it slow and walk instead?" He chuckled as he ran a hand through his hair and waited for her response.

Taylor took his hand and allowed him to help her up. "Well, fine's certainly better than terrible, now, isn't it?" She smiled proudly at his compliment. Even though she had been trying to keep their relationship as platonic as possible, it still meant the world to her that he held her kissing technique in such high regard. "Sure we can just walk," she said, raising an eyebrow at him. Why would he invite me to go running if he already did so? It didn't make a lot of sense to her. Still, in spite of her confusion, she was relieved that she didn't have to run. She hadn't really worked out in awhile and she wasn't sure that she had the stamina to keep up with him. "It's really beautiful out here." Fascinated at the sight of the breathtaking sunset, she began to walk down the beach.

He didn't release her hand when she was standing and instead swung their arms together as they walked down the beach, looking more than a bit idiotic. As if Cameron ever cared about what other people thought. "Good point...", he said softly with a chuckle. Though it was a low blow to his ego, he was still glad that she hadn't said that she'd kissed better. That would have been mortally wounding for him and his pride as a 'man'. He looked at her and laughed at the hesitant look she was giving him. "Okay, you're giving me that 'Cameron's lost his mind' look. I wanted to run at my own pace before you got here so I came 30 minutes before you did and ran... I ran too fast though so when you did arrive, I realized that I'd probably end up killing myself if I ran again after such a brief rest... And I forgot to mention that I'm lazy." He waggled his eyebrows at her before turning to the sunset that transformed the once peaceful colors in the sky into an explosion of raw and bold splashes that signaled the end of the day and the coming of the night.

Laughing a bit, Taylor allowed him to keep holding her hand and playfully swung his arm in return. She knew they looked ridiculous, but she didn't mind. The beach was pretty much empty, so nobody would see them. "I have no idea what look you're talking about," she said, smiling innocently. Despite her smile, she was actually a bit terrified. Cameron always seemed to have an uncanny ability to read her mind. She wasn't sure whether he was just a really good guesser or if he possessed some sort of a special gift. Either way, it made her nervous. Her innocent smile remained intact as she listened to his explanation. "Awwww are you too tired to walk then? Perhaps, we should reschedule this walk for a later date."

He lightly pinched her cheek, more in affection than anything else. "Uhuh, of course you don't." Cameron smiled as they continued to walk at a lazy pace, absently swinging their arms. "Naah, I don't think anyone can be too tired to walk. Run maybe, but walk? Naaahhh." Cameron took a moment to gaze at the sky and for some reason he was thankful. They weren't doing anything, and he was still far away from truly realizing his feelings and his world was technically a mess at the moment but when he was with Taylor, at the beach and under the beautiful twilight, he felt perfectly at peace.

"I've been too tired to walk before....." Remembering a specific occasion, Taylor's cheeks flushed bright red at the memory. That was the last thing that she needed to think about right now. She needed to come up with a new topic and fast. "So how have you been?" she asked, hoping that he wouldn't remember what she was talking about. "Last week, I did my first haircut. Well, my first professional looking haircut." She knew it was risky to discuss personal stuff with him, but she couldn't think of anything else, plus school seemed to be a pretty harmless topic. "I forgot to mention that I'm a cosmetology major. I don't just randomly go around cutting people's hair." She followed his gaze up to the sky and sighed at the beauty of it.

Cameron eyed her lazily and shrugged. "Classes; they were boring though. I'm not sure I could remember a single thing we discussed in Sociology 101." He grinned. "I didn't know that; maybe you can cut my hair sometime." He laughed at her sudden add-on and nodded. "Yeah I kinda guessed. It'd be kinda freaky if you just cut random people's hair for no particular reason whatsoever. I'm a Sociology major actually, if you care to know." He waggled his eyebrows at her and grinned.

Taylor reached over and ran her fingers through his hair. "Hmmmmm," she said, enjoying the feel of the texture. "Looks fine to me, but if you ever want me to give you a trim, let me know." As soon as the words left her mouth, she knew it probably wasn't a good idea. There was no way he could come down to the beauty school and get it cut; she wouldn't be able to concentrate. Unless he came to my dorm or I went to his house.... Pushing the idea out of her head, she smiled, slightly intrigued by his choice of major. "Wow, Sociology, huh? You do seem like a pretty social person."

Cameron grinned when she ran her fingers through his hair. It was something that seemed so personal; a rare thing for Taylor to do when he was around. "Alright then, I'll be sure to do that the next time I'm in need of a trim." He waggled his eyebrows playfully at her and smiled. "Naah, Sociology's actually the study of society. It sounds boring and most of the time it is, but it's also interesting... I get to find out why people act the way they do and stuff."
