Lanh pouted at Jasmine playfully, "I said I was sorry." He told her cutely, letting her stroke his face, but closing the eye on that side. He was still displaying his silly smile. His free hand moved from her back to her hair, running his fingers through it slowly.

Jasmine smirked out a slight giggle. "I know you did." he moved a bit of Lanh's hair off his forehead, pushing his hair back through her fingers. "But it doesn't change how I felt, you know." she added in, "I was worried that something had happened to you. I was afraid..." she stopped herself before she got into too much detail in her past. She had already told him about it once, she didn't want to go through it again.

Lanh furrowed his eyebrows. "Was he... Is he around here?" He asked her, worried he hadn't been there to keep the promise he made to her so many months ago. After looking around as if he'd find the man on the beach, he returned his attention to Jasmine. "I'm sorry I left you alone for so long, Jas..." He told her whole-heartedly.

Jasmine shook her head nonchalantly, closing her eyes for a brief moment before opening them back up again to face Lanh and his search for the horrid man. "No he's not. But just the thought of it gets me anxious." she told him, feeling a shiver go down her spine, leaning in closer to Lanh then, resting her head on his chest for the comfort and warmth she's needed for the longest time without him. "I love you, Lanh. And I don't ever want anything to happen to you....or us."

Lanh let himself relax as he wrapped both his arms around her, letting his head fall gently onto the sand as he stared into the bright blue sky. "If I can help it, nothing will happen to us but good things." He promised her.

Jasmine remained her head on the comfort of his warm chest, smiling then when he mentioned those sweet words to her. "I'm glad." she managed to say back in a hushed tone, but still audible for him to understand. "But..." she lifted her head for a second to look in his eyes. "What type of good things would happen to us?" she asked out of curiosity in her ice blue eyes.

He shrugged, "I dunno... We'll get married, have two and half kids. Y'know, be the average American family and be totally happy together." He furrowed his eyebrows, "Well, we'll be average until it gets to the divorce rate percentage." It was obvious Lanh was just being playful, but in mind, there was some truth to everything he was saying. "We'll be that happy old couple young couples say they want to be like."

Jasmine couldn't help but laugh at his explanation of his definition of a happy American family. "Two and half? Really?" she teased him back, suddenly frowning at the divorce part, but in a playful way as well, "Divorce? What, you don't think we'll last a long time or something?" she played along with him, pressing her forehead against his with a light smile playing on her lips. "I do hope we'll be that old couple though. Even if we won't be as happy as we are now, we'll still be a couple." she teased again, kissing his lips.

"I think we'll be happier." He smiled playfully. "I mean, after two and half kids, once they're out of the house, I think we'd be happy to have peace and quiet." He joked, still holding her protectively.

"Most definitely." Jasmine said agreeing with him with a slight giggle escaping her lips. She laid her head back on his chest then, feeling his arms wrapped around her thin waist, she felt protected. Like nothing could break them apart now. "Although, I think I can wait on having the kids at least until I'm done with school, don't you think?" she added again, continuing to play around with him as well.

Lanh's eyes widened, "Of course, of course." He told her, patting her back gently. "It's smarter to wait until we've got a stable career and a nice home." He told her, imagining a simple home with two stories and a nice front yard.

Jasmine nodded, happy to know Lanh was understanding her feelings towards the future. "It would be nice to have the money first." she giggled, cuddling closer to him again, "Not to mention live in our own apartment someday, even if it is small." she began thinking of the future they could have together then. Living off on their own, each having a career of their own, maybe even a dog. Okay, sure she was thinking a little too far ahead, for her to be thinking of getting a pet for the both of them, but that's just what Jasmine loved to do. Dream up the possibilities ahead of her.

Lanh gave her a look, still seeming playful, "I'm thinking home. Who wants an apartment?" He told her jokingly. He gave her small kiss on the cheek, "Although, working's hard..." He complained. He smiled proudly, "Though promotion time is coming up, and I've been working hard."

"Those who can't afford a real house yet?" she questioned her answer to him, cuddling her head into his chest more. "That's good your getting a promotion though. I just got a raise at my job." she grinned proudly to herself.

"Well, I don't know if I'm actually getting a promotion, but I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be getting one." He told her with a proud smile. "And nah, we'll start by living in a house with money we've saved up."
