"Sure." Amaya wasn't sure exactly what she was supposed to be doing, but she figured batting couldn't be too hard. After all, it was just hitting the ball with a bat, right? She walked over to where Monte was, placing her hands on her hips.

Monte tilted his head. "Do you want some help?" He didn't care to wait for her response, he grabbed a bat, placed it in her hands, letting one hand linger on hers as he got behind her and brought the other hand to her other side, basically holding the bat for her and encasing her body with his own. "You just hold the bat like this..." He wrapped his fingers around hers so they were both holding the bat the right way. "...Then you swing when the ball comes..." He made the motion and after a second he let her go. "Got it?"

Amaya couldn't stop the light blush that crossed her cheeks when Monte touched her, and shivered involuntarily. He was so close, it was making it hard for her to think, so all she did was nod at his question, stopping herself from sighing when he moved away. What the fuck was that?!

Monte joined Zane on the sidelines and they bumped elbows. "Am I wasting my time?" He murmured. Zane shrugged and in the same quiet tone replied. "She was blushing when you put your arms around her, there were other signs there too, only thing is dude..." He went quiet, leaving Monte waiting in agonized silence. "She was shaking so she could either really like you or she could all out despise you, it's really a tough call." Monte crossed his arms and stared at the back of Amaya's multicolored hair, wishing he had the power to look inside a girl's head and know for sure.
Grady somehow managed to relinquish control of the pitching mound from his brother and threw the ball at a manageable speed for a beginner. How he managed to take the reigns from his brother is a complete mystery, though Monte suspected Grady would be pitching for Amaya and Collins and Garret would most certainly pitch for Monte and Zane, perhaps to make things fair.

Amaya bit her lip, still not able to shake the feeling of him touching her off herself. She wasn't sure what the tingly-ness meant, but she had a good idea that she'd liked him touching her. Though, she really needed to concentrate on the game. Amaya managed to hit the ball just in time for it not to hit her once again, though she wasn't sure if her hit was good enough. She wasn't sure how hard she hit it, or how far it would go.

"Run...!" Monte and Zane shouted simultaneously. Zane nudged Monte again. "I'm just going to take a stab in the dark here and say she likes you. She's distracted enough by your touching her, that or she'd just really thick." He shook his head and crossed his arms. The ball rolled down the field toward the pitcher, lucky for Amaya, Garret was so full of himself and his abilities that instead of helping his team, he got in the way as Grady tried to get the ball and was shoved out of the way, giving her plenty of time to get to first base. "You bat next..." Monte said, pushing Zane forward. He'd picked up on the same things Zane had, but he held his hopes down, they could just be projecting and the girl could just be just as disgusted with him as she'd been before he'd invited her to a game of baseball.

Amaya took off at a run when she was suddenly yelled at, skidding to a stop when she reached first base. Running a hand through her hair, she placed the other on her hip and let out a breath. "I've really gotta pay attention or I'm gonna lose the fucking game." She sighed. I can't get him out of my head though.

Zane and Monte both let out relieved sighs when they saw her get to first base and stay. Zane walked forward to claim the bat and to face Garret. "Should I let her make the next move then?" Monte asked, just loud enough for Zane, and Zane only to hear him. Garret through a fast ball and Zane made contact, sending the ball way out into left field, clearing the way for Amaya to run to at least second if not third before anyone on the other team could collect the ball. Before he took off running, he tossed the bat to Monte, who caught it, and grinned. "Definitely..." Then he took off for first, hoping Amaya would move on to third. Once Zane got to first base and started toward second, it was especially clear that Garret's team was not working together. "Keep going, go home." Zane shouted at Amaya, figuring she knew what that meant. If anything she could make it to home and he'd be stuck on third.

Amaya began running when Zane hit the ball, she assumed that was what she was supposed do anyway. She got to the second base, hesitating for just a second before figuring she had enough time to get to third. She would've stayed, but she was being yelled at to run home, and followed those directions. She made it to the home base, managing to hurt her ankle in the process. "Shit, shit shit shit." She huffed, hoping to a stop. Amaya tested her ankle, she figured it wasn't too bad and she could still play on it for a while. It'd probably be swollen in the morning but, it wasn't like she hadn't hurt herself before.

Monte passed the bat to Collins [] thinking if she hit the ball and got to first and Zane didn't run at all he and Amaya would have a few seconds alone, though he was supposed to be waiting on her next move. Collins took the bat, stepped up to the base and waited for Grady and Garret to stop bickering.
"Hey you alright?" Monte asked, walking over to where Amaya was standing, examining her ankle. "We can quit if you want, I'll walk you home, they're losing anyway and not getting along so the game might end regardless." The two brother's stopped bickering and Grady threw the ball, which Collins hit and ran to first, while the ball was collected. Zane, picking up on Monte's unspoken wish, remained firmly on third, though he had plenty of time to get to home.

Amaya bit her lip when Monte walked over to her, and shrugged a bit. "If we end the game, do I have to go home?" Twisted ankle or not, she didn't want to go home just yet. Though she wouldn't admit it outloud, she had decided she liked this guy, despite the way they had met. Running a hand through her hair, she looked up at him, waiting for his answer.

Monte raised an eyebrow with her question. "Where else would you want to go besides home?" He lowered his eyebrows and gave her a sly grin. He didn't know her well enough to read her or to even pinpoint a certain location she'd like to disappear to with him. Aya's was easy and abundant. The Cafe she worked at, the roof of a building, preferably the school, a guest bedroom in her house, or a vacant pool. Serena wasn't picky at all, speeding down the road in his car, the backseat of his car on the side of the road, under a tree in the park, anywhere. He wouldn't peg Amaya and the baseball field in the future or even in the park where they met, so far nothing was memorable enough. "You have somewhere in mind, because I'm drawing a blank...?" He glanced at the field, watching as Collins made it to first, attempted second and ran back to first and the ball made it's way back to the pitcher's mound. "Tell you what, I'm going to hit a home run and when I get back to home, I want you to have a place in mind...alright?" He picked up the bat and stepped up to the plate. "Take it easy on that ankle." He warned as he watched one of Garret's fast balls speed toward him. He swung as hard as he could and knocked the ball out of the field, past retrieval. He ran the bases, watching as the other's on his team touched home and the other team stood motionless where they'd been before he'd hit the ball. He walked from third to home, taking his time, rubbing it in Garret's face. Once he tagged the plate he went straight back over to Amaya. "Have an answer for me?" Out the corner of his eye he could see the members of Garret's team removing their gloves and pushing them into his chest. "I'm sure you have another ball, Garret, but we're done..." He heard them say, signaling that the game ended.

Amaya shrugged at his question. She didn't really know enough places to pick one where they could go besides the park and the school. And since they'd already been there, she figured he wouldn't want to go back. Maybe the movies? Nah, too public. Even if though it was dark and the middle of the week, she didn't want to take that chance. I don't know where else we could go. Amaya sigh softly. She nodded at his statement, watching as he hit the ball and ran around the bases. Amaya shifted hips, keeping most of her weight on her good ankle. When Monte made his way back over to her, she bit her lip. "How about the lake?"

Monte bit his bottom lip when she said where she wanted to go. He'd forgotten about the lake. Sure it wasn't the same lake that he'd met Serena, but it was similar enough. He shrugged it off and decided he couldn't just stop going to places because it reminded him of a girl he used to like. "Alright the lake." He put his hand on the small of her back and waved with his other hand. "We're going to duck out, catch you guys around." He smiled at her. "So what's at the lake?"

Amaya shrugged. "Nothing really. Just seemed like a good place. We can go somewhere else if you'd like." Amaya walked carefully on her ankle, wishing she had a car so that she wouldn't have to walk on it. She was sure it would be swollen by the time she got home, if it wasn't already.
