Shane made a face, shaking his head. "Gah, yeah I need a tux. I still don't see why I need one though." He wasn't one for dressing up, and tried not to do it as much as possible. Taking a bite of his burger, he said, "I have no idea what to get her."

"Because its a wedding. All the guy's there will be wearing some sort of tux." he chuckled, sipping at his water before continuing. "Even one of my younger brothers is being forced into one." he laughed harder at the thought, including the one of Anne being forced into a dress; something she promised herself she would never in her life wear. "As for the present, well, Ari does have plenty of toys already." he shrugged, admitting the fact that he and Naomi tend to spoil their daughter a little too much. "But she does find a way to play with them all. Stuffed animals are her favorite. Anything she can hug and squeeze really."

"That's no excuse." Shane rolled his eyes, taking another handful of fries. He shrugged, taking a bite of his burger and sipping his soda before replying. "I guess I can get her a stuffed animal then. If she already has a lot of toys. Does she have a favorite animal yet?"

Max shook his head, not bothering to answer back, instead rolling his eyes back at Shane as if saying, 'whatever,' and returned to their second conversation they seemed to still be having. "Um...honestly, I don't really know if she does have a favorite animal yet.." He bit his lip in thought, grabbing another handful of fries while still pondering about what his own daughter liked now. "Well, she does really like that giraffe stuffed animal. That's like, the main stuffed animal she carries with her everywhere." He munched on another fry. "Kind of hard to tell which animal is her favorite though. I mean, its not like when I ask her which is her favorite, she'll tell me right off the bat." he shrugged.

"You could always take her too a zoo and see which animal she responds the best too." His nose scrunched up briefly when he thought of the zoo, but he quickly pushed it aside and busied himself with eating his almost-gone burger. "Maybe I'll get her a giant strawberry, since her hair is red and all."

"That'd be nice actually." Max nodded in agreement. "I think Nai mentioned something about taking Ari to a zoo sometime soon. I'm sure she'd love it." he sipped on his water before grubbing on the rest of his burger, so that he just had fries left to work on. He nearly choked on his last bite of burger with laughter when Shane mentioned getting Arielle a giant strawberry. "What? Like a pillow?" he laughed, taking a gulp of his water to wash down the rest of the burger. "You know what, I'm sure Ari would love whatever you gave her. I'm sure she just wants to see her uncle more often. Especially since her uncle is also her godfather." he hinted at him, munching on another fry.

"Yes, like a pillow." Shane nodded, eating the rest of his burger. "Or a toy or something. I'm not sure yet. Do they even make giant strawberries?" He chewed on a few fries before saying, "I'll be around more often...maybe. Can't make any promises." He shook his head, sipping his soda.

Max shrugged. "I don't know. I guess we'll find out when we hit the mall after this." he sipped on his water before returning to the remains of his fries. "What do you mean, maybe?" he asked in almost a forceful question, though there was still a curiosity in his voice.

Shane shrugged, sipping his soda. He didn't really know what he meant by that. He wasn't sure if he would return to college once school started. He didn't even know if he was staying in the same town, since there was really nothing keeping him here.

Since Shane hadn't answered him at all, let alone said anything through the rest of the meal, Max decided to break the ice by having them move on to the mall next. Luckily the waitress had arrived just in time for their check. Without hesitation, Max pulled out his wallet, laying out two twenty's, the tip being included in there, and stood up to his feet motioning for Shane to follow. "Come on, we still gotta find you something to wear to the wedding." he said, leading him back to his car, clicking the button to unlock the doors as he slid into his seat, already starting up the car while waiting for Shane to hop in himself.

Shane barely noticed Max pay for the food, not that he would have offered to pay for it himself anyway. Nodding, he stood and followed Max outside to the car, running a hand through his hair. "Clothes, wedding, gotcha." He climbed into the car, pulling on his seat belt. "Max?" He said after a moment of silence. "Do you think Naomi would hate me if I left?"

Max pulled back out into the streets, heading towards the mall next. Just as they were closing in to the mall then, Max turned his head for a quick second at Shane's question to him. "Um..well, I don't think she could ever hate you. Maybe get depressed and all that, but not actually hate you. Why? Where were you gonna go?"

Shane frowned. He didn't want to make her depressed, she'd had enough of that already in the past year. At Max's question, he shrugged. "I dunno. I don't know if I'm even leaving yet. I was just wondering..." He trailed off, shrugging again and climbing out of the car, sticking his hands into his pockets.

"I see..." was all Max said that moment. He got out of the car when Shane did, leading themselves up to the mall, heading in the direction of wedding and formal wear first. "So, how about we go ahead and get this suit thing situated first?" he finally said, after the awkwardly silent walk they had on the way to the store.

"I suppose." Shane followed Max to the store, immediately frowning when he saw the suits. "There's no way in hell I can afford any of these." He looked up at Max, shaking his head. "I don't have a job and I doubt my mom will help since she has to buy my siblings stuff too."
