"Please, Shane?" Naomi begged, bouncing Arielle in her arms. "Naomi, I don't want to go out with Max." Shane replied over the phone, sighing. Naomi set Arielle onto the floor since she was trying to get away, and smiled a bit as she crawled towards her giraffe toy. "But he's your best friend." Naomi tried. "So?" "Shane! Go out with him. Plus, you said you needed to get Arielle a gift for her birthday anyway. And you need a tux for the wedding." "Fine!" Shane huffed. "I'll be over there in a few." The line went dead then, and Naomi hung up her phone with a satisfied smile. Standing, she moved to go to the door. "Mommy will be right back Ari." She said, going into her room to find Max. "Max?" She called, going into the kitchen when he wasn't in the room. "Hey, I called Shane. He said he'd be here soon."

Max was in the kitchen getting some lunch ready for the two of them and Arielle, seeing that David was out with Brooklyn looking for flower girl dresses. He was just pouring some mac n' cheese into a couple bowls and getting Arielle's bottle out of the microwave to test the temperature when Naomi came wandering in. He turned around, smiling at her news. "Oh, cool. I've actually been wanting to talk to him about some stuff anyways." he mentioned, pulling Naomi in for a quick hug and kiss, before returning back to the food, setting a bowl on the counter, but removing his bowl and placing it in the fridge for later. "I guess you and Ari will just have to have lunch without me then, huh?" he grinned, hugging her again, with a light kiss on her nose. "You okay with that?"

Naomi smiled, kissing and hugging Max back. She pouted a bit, shrugging. "I guess." She scrunched up her nose when he kissed it, giggling softly. "I'll go get Ari." She turned, going back into the room and picking up the baby. "Come on Ari, let's get some lunch. Daddy made mac and cheese. Yummy." She carried the baby into the kitchen, strapping her into her seat and grabbing her bottle. Grabbing her own food, she sat down next to Arielle and handed her the bottle. The front door opened then, and then a voice called out, "Normal people lock their doors."
Arielle, hearing her uncles voice, immediately dropped her bottle and reached out for Shane. He lifted her from her seat, kissing her forehead. "What's up girly?" He asked, grinning when she began babbling to him. "Is that so?" He asked when she paused. Arielle giggled, tucking her head in the crook of his neck.
"Hey Shane." Naomi spoke up, taking a bite of her food. "Hey sis, what's up?" Shane asked, turning to Max next. "Hey Max."

Max chuckled, tapping Arielle's nose when she was being strapped in her seat. When Shane's voice let out then, he too, dropped what he was doing, and turned to meet him. He smile grew wider then when he was greeted by his friend. "Hey, Shane. What's up?" he greeted him back, patting him on the shoulder rather than hugging since Shane was busy holding his niece. He looked back down at his daughter then, who seemed to be curled up quite comfortably in Shane's arms now. "Arielle's missed you alright. You should come visit more often. I'm sure she would love that." he chuckled, rubbing the back of Arielle's head, giving her a kiss. "I'm sure she would love it."

Almost as if agreeing with her daddy, Arielle lifted her head up and grabbed Shane's face in her tiny hands, babbling something before giggling, clapping her hands together. "I think she agrees." Naomi laughed, eating the rest of her macaroni. Her appetite was slowly coming back, though she still couldn't eat much.
Shane shook his head, smiling a bit. "You missed me?" He asked the little girl, kissing her forehead. He moved to set her down, but Arielle protested, whining and clutching his shirt. He sighed, lifting back into his arms. "Ari, I can't hold you forever. Me and your daddy have to go soon."

Max laughed along with Naomi, watching Arielle cling onto Shane even more after he tried setting her back down. "Awe, come on, Ari. Shane'll be back. I promise." he tried telling the red-headed baby, watching as she clung onto Shane's shirt tighter when Max tried lifting her off him himself. "Arielle." he shook his head, chuckling lightly. "Oh." he got an idea then.
Max quickly ran in the living room to get Arielle's giraffe toy she was playing with earlier, and tried bribing her with that. "I'll only give you the toy if you let go of Uncle Shane." he told her, watching Arielle's face looking as though she was thinking about what to do next, her hands still grasping onto Shane's shirt. Finally, with her decision made, she kept one hand clutched onto Shane while her other hand stretched out towards the toy her daddy was holding, trying to get away with both choices.

Shane chuckled, shaking his head. "You can't have both." He said, placing Arielle in Naomi's lap. Arielle began whining, reaching her hands out for Shane, but he handed her the toy, and then scooped a tiny bit of Naomi's food onto the fork, placing it in Arielle's mouth. Her whines almost immediately stopped, and her brow furrowed as she tried to decide if she liked the new food. After she swallowed, she giggled and reached out for more. "Great. Come on Max. Let's leave before she notices me again." Shane said, backing towards the door. "See ya Naomi." Naomi looked up after placing a noddle in Ari's mouth. "Have fun guys."

Max was about to try again, but Shane beat him to it, letting him grab the toy out of his hands to give Arielle, as well as a bite of food. "Right then. Bye Nai. We won't be out long." he told his fiance, giving her a quick kiss on the lips before following Shane out the door and towards the car. "So, where do you wanna head to for lunch? My treat."

"Lunch?" Shane followed Max to the car, letting himself into the passenger seat. "Uh...that diner place is fine. Not too expensive." He shrugged, pulling his seat belt on. "I need to get a gift for Ari." He commented. "And Naomi said something about a tux."

Max nodded, starting the car when they were both settled, and driving onto the streets towards the diner for their first stop. "Yeah, I've been meaning to get a gift for her too. Just a little something from father to daughter." he explained, turning the corner in the direction of the diner. "And speaking of the wedding...I've been meaning to ask you something, but I'll wait for when we have our food. I'm starving...since I never got to start on my lunch at home.." he chuckled.

"Should I just get her a toy or something?" He asked. A small frown touched Shane's features. "A question?" He rose an eyebrow. Sighing when they finally got to the restaurant, he waited until the car stopped before getting out and heading towards the door.

"I'm sure she'd be happy with a toy. But I know for a fact that she'll be more than happy to see her Uncle again." he chuckled, slipping a wink out along with his laugh before parking in the lot. He followed Shane up into the diner, leading him the rest of the way to a table nearby, waiting for their menu's to be given out and their drinks to be ordered before saying anything else. "I'll just have a water." Max told the waitress, looking to Shane to order a drink next before going on with his question he's been wanting to ask.

Shane smiled a bit. He had to admit, he loved that kid to death. "I'll see what I can do." He sat across from Max at the booth, looking at his menu. "I think I'll take a coke." He said, watching as the waitress walked away.

Once the waitress walked away then, Max set down his menu, looking back at Shane. "So....back to my question..." he smirked, "I'll give you a hint, its about the wedding.." he grinned wider, hoping he would get the hint, but at the same time he figured he wouldn't right away.

"What about the wedding?" Shane asked, frowning. "I don't see why you need to ask me something about the wedding. It's not my wedding, and I don't think I'm the best person to come to for advice. Actually," Shane added as an afterthought. "I know I'm not the best."
