Luna nodded, ducking her head in embarrassment. She pointed to herself, then to her head, shaking it and then to her stomach, trying to say she'd forgotten to eat. She forgot she'd bought the notebook and pen that she'd stuck in the bag just for this purpose.

Rochelle furrowed her eyes, trying to concentrate on what Luna was telling her. But she got nothing. "Wait...what? she shook her head, putting her hand to it before motioning for Luna to follow her to the food court. "That first nod was enough to let me know you were hungry. No need to get me more confused, kay?" she told her, not sounding as nice as she meant to sound.

Luna bit her lip and gave a slight nod before ducking her head again and following Rochelle to the food court. Whenever she got flustered she tended to sign, not making sure the other person was following. Her mom had told her she needed to work on that, but she forgot sometimes. She frowned a bit, not bothering to look anywhere but at the ground ahead of her. She hated that she got hurt so easily, and that she was so sensitive to what others thought. This was why she acted the way she did around others.

As they finally made it to the food court, Rochelle turned back to Luna, trying to bring her regain her niceness again by giving out a light grin. "So what're you hungry for exactly? I'm not too hungry myself, but I'm just gonna get a small lemonade for my thirst." she said, pointing over to a pretzel stand where they also sold lemonade.

Luna gave a one shouldered shrug, and then realized that she would have a hard time ordering anything. Her siblings usually did that for her because they knew what she liked, but they weren't here with her now. Biting her lip, she looked at the menu and then ran a hand through her hair. Remembering her notebook, she quickly wrote out a hotdog and an ice tea.

While Rochelle waited for Luna to answer, she went ahead and ordered her Lemonade, taking small sips of it on her way back to Luna, finding her writing down something. She leaned over to see what it was, and instantly let out a groan. "Don't tell me you want me to order your food, too." she whined.

Luna blushed again, quickly shaking her head and back away. She took her notebook up to the counter and showed the cashier what was written on it. Of course, the cashier didn't catch on and realize Luna didn't talk. It got to be a few minutes when Luna finally gave up, moving away from the poor, confused cashier and going to sit at a table. She could feel the rush of tears and quickly blinked her eyes, willing herself not to cry.

Rochelle stared blankly at Luna and what she was doing, knowing already that her plan was going to backfire on her. About to yelp for joy about her being right, she stopped herself, watching the white-haired quiet girl, pout to herself, slumping down at a table by herself, looking as though she were about to cry. "Oh, god. Not a crybaby." she shook her head, rolling her eyes as well. Not doing well with tears, Rochelle quickly went up to the cashier where Luna was just at, and asked for a hot dog and an iced tea. Once payed for, Rochelle took the food as well as a forced smile on her face over to the poor girl, sliding the meal over to her. "Here." she said, blandly, before setting her own bags and drink down, and taking a seat across from the girl. She took a sip of her lemonade before adding in, "just make sure to pay me back, kay?" and she took another sip.

Luna blinked in surprise when Rochelle handed her food. She hadn't expected the girl to pay for anything. Nodding, she reached into her pocket for money and handed her the right amount before starting on her hotdog. She signed the words "thank you" again, but avoided Rochelle's gaze at all costs. She hated feeling helpless, and when she got angry she tended to cry. It was something about herself that she couldn't help and yet she hated it.

She grabbed the cash that was handed to her, and placed it back in her wallet, nodding at her 'thank you' sign again. "Don't take it personally. I just hate seeing people cry in front of me. I never really know how to handle it, really." she explained in a more calm yet still flat tone, slurping on her drink occasionally.

Luna nodded, understanding completely. She took a sip of her tea, sighing as she felt the cold go down her chest. She took another bite of her hotdog, chewing thoughtfully. "I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble today." She quickly wrote, not bothering to look up again. "I usually have one of my siblings to order for me."

Rochelle saw Luna writing something down, and quickly leaned over to see what it was. She shook her head, "It's fine. It's not like I don't have any siblings that annoy the hell out of me. Compared to you though, your nothing." she grinned. "You're just...not what I was expecting when I met you..."

Luna ran a hand through her hair. "I get that a lot." She admitted. "Most people don't bother sticking around me though because I don't talk. They figure I'm a waste of time." She took another bite of her food and then a sip of her tea.

Rochelle nodded. "I can see why they would leave too." she admitted, not to be mean, but just to let out the truth. "Honestly, I was about to leave too, but then I saw the great taste you have in fashion, and that got me to stay." she added, sipping on her drink, with her gaze still on Luna, seeing what she would write next. "But you know, if you would just talk a little bit, people wouldn't walk out on you."

To be honest, Luna wouldn't have blamed her for leaving, but she was glad she'd stayed. However, her next statement had Luna shaking her head. "It's because I talked so much that I don't talk now." She didn't know if that made sense to Rochelle, but she wouldn't bother explaining unless she asked what she meant.
