Just as he said, Shawn stood right smack in the middle of the Entertainment Center. Out in the open, he was not used to being around any types of people, not to mention people staring at him like he were some alien from another planet. Just like usual though, he gave whoever looked at him funny an evil glare telling them to just keep on walking, that there was nothing to see here. After a few minutes of waiting, he let out a sigh, plopping down on the empty bench behind him, throwing his face into the palms of his hands. God dammit Shawn, cool yourself! He kept telling himself in his head. "I knew I shouldn't of sent that stupid voicemail. I'm so fucked." he cursed under his breath, suddenly feeling the urge of pulling out another cigarette for his needs. He could really use one right about now anyway.
Of course he followed what his brain told him to do, and slid out a brand new packet along with his lighter, sticking a roll into his mouth and lighting it, sliding both the open packet and lighter back in his back pocket, puffing out a few smokes every now and then.

Polaris got the voicemail, from her Autn Caris telling her. She was confused at first, wondeirng if it was a joke, but thought it couldn't hurt to go and see anyway. She walked through the doors of the entertainment Center and looked around. She could see the back of a guy with purple hair and she had to smirk lightly. She saw people walking past him with weird looks. She laughed quietly and started walking. When she saw him pull out a smoke she rolled her eyes.
-Polaris leaned over from behind him and pulled the cigarette from his mouth. "If you can read, it says no smoking." She put the cigarette out with the end of her sneaker, still leaning on the bench next to him. She smirked lightly. "Hey."

Giving a dirty look to nearly anyone who looked at him funny, Shawn finally reached up to grab the cigarette in between his fingers, when someone else decided it would be funny to do for him, including putting it out! Cursing under his breath, he whipped his head around just about to tell the person off when he realized who it really was. "...And your point is?" he said answering to her first comment before adding in a simple, "Hey," to go along with his lifeless tone of voice, before slipping out another cigarette getting ready to light that one next.

Polaris flicked his hand, a move she knew no one else would probably dare to do. "My point is, you're gunna get yourself in trouble. And I told you I didn't want to see you in the papers." She sat down next to him ."So what's up?" She ran her fingers through her long white hair, curling one of her feet under her leg and leaning on the back of the bench.

After flicking his hand, which caused the unlit cigarette to go flying, he just looked back at her with a slight scowl curling up on his lips. "Fine." he scoffed, putting his lighter back in his pocket. "And don't worry. I'm not in the paper. You have nothing to be worried about." he added in, feeling the urge to add in the word, 'yet', but fought the urge to do so. Staring back at the cigarette that flew out of his hand, he watched as Polaris helped herself in plopping down next to him. "I, uh," he turned his head back to facing her. "just wanted see what you were up to." Clearly, he hadn't thought any of this through, you could see it in his eyes that he was confused as he was still trying to figure out why he even called that number on the scratch paper given to him.

Polaris raised her eyebrow slightly. "What I was doing?" S smile pricked at the corners of her mouth. "Shawn that's the lamest excuse I've ever heard. And I've heard a few." She rubbed the back of her head. "You know, I seriously thought you would throw that paper out. I was surprised when I got the voicemail." She laughed lightly.

Dammit Shawn! I knew this was a bad idea! "Yeah, I guess that was a pretty lame excuse, huh?" he frowned, looking away from her again and towards the dead cigarette on the ground. "That was a pretty stupid idea of calling you too. Guess I should of burned that paper and tossed it out." he said, clenching his teeth together. "This was a mistake coming here." he muttered out next, meaning it to be more under his breath but turned out to be a bit more than a whisper.

Polaris frowned a little and sighed. "Well geez I'm sorry." She looked away from him. "I was just kidding. It's nice that you called, I mean, I didn't mean to get you upset about it." She sighed again and turned forward. "I guess I'm just an Anger Problem for you huh? Besides existing, I must've really screwed up on something to make you annoyed with me all the time."

Shawn sighed, closing his eyes and slightly shaking his head. "You didn't screw things over. Like I said before, I just have issues. Period." he reopened his eyes seeing her face him again. "It's like I wasn't meant to have friends or something. Cause something like this always ends up the same way. It always ends up being my fault. Anger issues, ya know?" he tried explaining once more, keeping his cool as much as possible. He looked away again towards the ground, "Maybe I was just meant to be a loner. It sure seems that way. I would of done fine on my own anyway, not like the police had to send me into foster care to be adopted." he finished, mocking at the last word, seeming to have hated moving around from town to town, city to city, state to state.

Polaris listened and sighed., "You're not a loner. ou don't have to be. You're jsut...I guess rusty, for lack of a better word. And about adoption, I hear ya. I'm not exatly blood in my family either. But..." She glanced back at him. "Anger wouldn't be a problem with me if you didn't keep threatening to just disconnect me. I'd be fine if you called me names or anything. But I'd like to be your..." She smirked lightly. " 'Un-Back-Stabbing-Friend'. I think that was the term I used in the forest or something."

"Rusty." he repeated, with a scoff, "Sure, that's it." he frowned, blinking his eyes shut again hard, opening them back up again hoping that'll make a difference in his attitude. "It's not being adopted that's gotten me soo...like this. It's the fact of how many times it took me to travel from state to state, family to family, until someone finally decides to keep me longer than a fuckin' week before tossing me out onto the streets again. I don't mean to act this way, its just that..." he tried coming up with a good word to describe how he was, "...frustrating." he finished off, thinking maybe he got so frustrated with everyone because he never got the attention he deserved; or wanted. And so he acted to that with such harshness, and bad behavior towards his past families and others.

Polaris shrugged. "Frustrations not bad. You just don't want to push people away because of what others did. If you found someone that wants you, then you have to assume, they're not like the rest. And you have to act like you want to be wanted, not go around being a druggie and a bad kid. It doesn't help." She laughed lightly. "I must sound like a shrink huh? I hate shrinks." She shook her head and elbowed him lightly. "You're not that bad of a kid, so just tell yourself that." She smirked lightly. "I'm getting tired of repeating myself."

Shawn raised his eyebrow as Polaris finally finished her little speech she was giving him. "God, I hate shrinks. Everyone I ever lived with took me to see a shrink thinking that it'll help with my attitude and shit. Um, hello? If I don't want to tell my family about my life, why would I want to tell a stranger?" he complained with a roll of his eyes, suddenly realizing that's exactly what he had been doing this whole time. Technically, Polaris was still somewhat of a stranger to him, but for some odd and strange reason, he felt more comfortable around her than anyone else. Letting out a groan, he started craving something heavy to drown away his frustrations and anger, as he began licking his lips slightly.

Polaris laughed lightly but refrained from commenting that she was technically a stranger. But they weren't really strangers if the knew this much about each other right? She noticed him getting antsy and she rolled her eyes, but laughed lightly. "Getting a little fidgety are we?" She smirked lightly.

Licking his lips once more, Shawn nodded slowly. "Just trying to fight the urge to drown myself in alcohol. That's all." he simply answered her, licking his lips again, looking across the way from the entertainment center to where all the older people were walking into, showing their ID's before entering. He did have his fake ID on him after all. He hasn't gone into a bar for a drink for a while now, and it was starting to get to him.
