Perrin nodded, a coy smile on his face. He jumped down from the counter, grabbing some tongs from a drawer and turning one of the bigger pieces of chicken over. After seeing it looked thoroughly cooked, he grabbed a knife and fork from another drawer and cut into it. The meat was still slightly pinkish, but would definitely be ready soon. "I'd say another five minutes." He told her with a smile. He couldn't believe how quickly they got a half hour to go by doing nothing but small chit-chat, but he was relieved. I hope she likes my cooking... He thought, glancing at Summer and giving her a smile. "Sorry if this is boring..." He apologized, realizing her idea of a fun time was probably to spend time in a small, badly-lit kitchen making fried chicken with someone.

Summer watched Perrin, nodding when he told her the food was almost done. She hadn't really been hungry when they'd gotten here, but her stomach was starting to growl now. She blushed lightly at the sound, hopping Perrin hadn't heard it. "Oh, i-it's not boring at all. I-I like spending time with you." The words were out before she could stop them, and Summer blushed even deeper, lowering her gaze once again.

Perrin's mouth turned into a dorky, elated smile. He didn't know what it was about, but the way she said them just made him giddy. "I like spending time with you too." He admitted, a soft blush forming on his cheeks. He could've stared at floor forever before a small pop from the chicken reminded him what he was doing in the first place. He looked up at the food quickly, a small "oh" escaping his lips before he grabbed the fork and knife again and check a different piece of big chicken. With a big smile, he looked to Summer. "It's ready. Do you want to take some pieces off?" He asked, turning off the stove.

Summer glanced up to find him smiling, and smiled as well, glad that her small confession didn't scare him off. Quite the opposite in fact, as he admitted to enjoy spending time with her as well. She bit her lip as her stomach growled again and the smell intruded her nose. "Uh, s-sure...how do I get it?"

Perrin handed her the tongs, going behind her to guide her hands, only to realize how forward this probably seemed to her. But to mention would only make her more embarrassed, so he said nothing as he muttered a small, "Like this."

Summer blushed deeply when Perrin wrapped his arms around her, her heart beating even harder and giving a small flip in her chest. She tried hard to control her rapidly beating hard as she let him guide her hands. Once she'd gotten enough chicken, she bit her lip. It was just like when he was holding her hands, she felt like she was going to pass out but she didn't want to leave his hold, even if it wasn't intentional.

Perrin noticed her get nervous, and cursed himself for just naturally seeming to go into the position. Once all the chicken was gathered, he saved face and casually went away from her, instantly feeling cold and stopping a frown from appearing on his face. After an awkward silence, he cleared his throat. "Um... we should let it cool down a bit." He said, slowly making his way over to the table, pulling out a chair for Summer before pulling out his own chair. "Have a seat." He told her, motioning to the chair he'd pulled out.

Summer sighed as Perrin moved away, she was both relieved and disappointed that he did. God, these mixed feelings were starting to bug her, and confuse her even more than she already was. "Thank you." She murmured when he pulled out the chair, sitting in it and folding her arms on the table.

"Um..." Perrin began, clearing his throat and trying to get the uncomfortable air out of the room, not even sure what he was originally planning to do. "My oldest brother will probably be home in about thirty minutes or so. Are you going to be okay with both my brothers here, or did you want to eat and go?" He asked, trying to be sensitive to her seeming inability to comfortably meet new people.

Summer shook her head at his question, biting her lip. "N-no, I'll be fine..." As long as they both didn't come down here at the same time. Beside, if Summer was honest with herself, she didn't want to leave just yet. The house, or him? Summer blushed at the thought, lowering her eyes and tracing the lines in the table.

Perrin nodded, a worried look still in his eyes. He was about to say something else when Ame walked in again, just as nonchalant as before, this time without headphones on. "It smells good." He said, looking at the cooling chicken. "It's just cooling down if you want to grab some." Perrin replied simply, calmly. He kept an eye on Summer, knowing his brother could be a bit much for a normal person. Ame smiled and grabbed a plate, also grabbing two other. "Is your girlfriend eating here too?" He asked, giving Perrin a teasing look as his younger brother blushed bright red. "She's not..!!" Perrin began, stiffening up. However, a part of him couldn't bring him to finish the sentence. Weakly, he just gave a simple, "yes." "Whatever," Ame said, grabbing another plate and putting them all on the counter. After doing so, he went to the table, sitting across from Summer. "Hello." He said simply. Perrin tried his best to beg Ame with his eyes, knowing the only reason Ame was even socializing was because he saw Summer was a shy person.

Just my luck... Summer watched as Ame walked in and began grabbing some chicken, not saying anything, but wishing she could just disappear right then. She flushed just as deeply as Perrin did when Ame asked if she was eating here, and called her his girlfriend, her eyes going to Perrin's. Summer blushed darker, if at all possible, when he gave a small yes, lowering her eyes once again. She noticed that he'd started to deny her being his girlfriend. Why did he stop? When Ame sat across from her and greeted her, Summer looked up at him in surprise. She opened her mouth to respond before promptly shutting it again. Her stomach was beginning to feel choppy and she felt as if she were going to pass out. Summer managed a weak smile, glancing over at Perrin before once again dropping her eyes.

"Ame, please..." Perrin begged, giving him his best puppy dog eyes knew always made Ame listen. "Just eat your food in your room today?" He begged his brother. Ame looked from his brother to the girl across from him. "Fine." Ame replied after a moment of seeming to stare into Summer. He stood up, grabbing a plate and putting a couple pieces of chicken on it before heading out again. "Sorry..." Perrin said softly. "My older brother's a brat."

Summer breathed a small sigh of relief when Ame left, though her stomach was still choppy. "I-it's f-fine." Summer stammered, trying hard to control the tiny tremors that started taking over her body. She closed her eyes, taking deep slow breaths. When she found it wasn't working, she placed her forehead on the table and closed her eyes, feeling tears prick the sides of them. She hated being like this.

Perrin looked at her, biting his lip and unsure of how to help in this state. Deciding maybe changing the subject was best, he sat up straight, muttering, "The chicken should be ready; how many pieces do you want?" Before standing up and heading towards the chicken, grabbing a plate for her first.
