JuLong smiled, leaning back and looking at the hole they'd made. "I think this good." He said, then looked to Tillie, the slightest bit of blush on his cheeks as he smiled, looking directly into her eyes. "With you I have more fun because you are to die for." He told her, only able to stay serious for a bit longer before bursting into giggles, curling into a ball as he did so. "Very lame~~" He whined, but then shot up, looking at Tillie again, "Unless you like it...?" He asked her, tilting his head.

At that response, Tillie scrunched up her nose and brought herself to little fits of giggles as well. "Nah, I think it's cute. It's our phrase!" she added in the last part in a small gasp, which transfered to a giggle. She looked back to the hole then, smiling in agreement. Next thing they knew, Tillie was found curled in a little ball to fit herself in the hole, leaving her head and some of her chest open to breathe. "Okay, I'm ready. Now bury me!"

JuLong smiled at the positive response, then watched as she situated herself, playing with some sand while she was doing so. Once she was ready, he back up a bit and cupped his hands, dumping as much sand as possible into the hole as he continued just scooping and pushing sand towards her. All too soon, he got her legs buried, then patted it down playfully. "If you can leave, I not do it right." He joked, sticking out his tongue playfully.

Tillie tried to sit still the best she could. But when JuLong finally spoke to her, she couldn't help but let out little fits of giggles, causing some of the sand to crack. "I think you mean, 'you did not do it right.'" she corrected him once again, shaking her head playfully right before she stuck her tongue out at him. "And I don't think you did either...look, the sand is cracking.." she laughed again, nudging her head towards the cracked section of sand.

JuLong smiled back at her, about to push more sand on her when he got a text from his mother. 晚餐的准备 (Dinner's ready) 是什么呢?(What is it?) JuLong texted back, then looked to Tillie and offered a hand. "Ma says dinner is ready. Are you hungry?" He told her, giving her a wide smile.

Tillie smiled in return, letting JuLong push back the sand she ruined before he got interrupted by his phone. "Oh~ Really?" She said happily, grabbing his hand and pulling the rest of herself up and out of the sand. She brushed herself off quickly before grabbing her own phone she set aside briefly and stuck it back in her pocket. "I am hungry, actually. What did you say your mom was making again? Soup?"

JuLong shrugged, but then looked to his phone as he got another text. 中国式的鸡汤 (Chinese-style chicken soup) Came the text from his mother. "Um. It is Zhongguo... Ah no. Um... Chinese stai-uhl (style) chicken soup. And rice!" He told Tillie, trying to make sure he said it properly. He waited until she was done brushing off and grabbing her things before taking her hand in his, and then letting out a sigh. "我当然希望美眉吃饭的行为...但她似乎很喜欢你 (I sure hope meimei (younger sister) behaves for dinner... But she seems to like you...)" He seemed to mutter more to himself than anything.

Tillie pushed a strand of her hair back behind her ear as she tried understanding what JuLong was reading. "Chinese....style? You mean style?" she questioned him, before realizing what it was he was telling her. "Oh! Chinese style chicken soup! That sounds delicious!" She suddenly shouted, willingly locking her fingers in with his and swung their arms happily as they exited the beach. She wasn't even phased that he was muttering something under his breath.

JuLong nodded, seeming preoccupied in how his siblings would react to Tillie eating with the family. He wondered if their dad would make it home for dinner. Ever since they had moved to America, it had been happening more often, but not often enough to consider it common for their dad to be home by dinnertime. He looked over to Tillie as she corrected him. That word had been on his least favorite English words from the moment he had heard it. "Stai-uhl?" He made a face, "I can't, never. Too hard." He told her with a small laugh.
