Seraph grinned at the little girl, urging her to sit up. She watched her grasp at reality and let go of Morpheus and found that Daylin was the cutest girl in the world. She shook her head in amusement. "Well, because you asked for waffles for breakfast, remember? He's making them right now, can't you smell it?" Indeed, the smell of waffles wafted into Daylin's room and Ser only then realized she was hungry. She offered her hand to Daylin. "Have breakfast with me?"

Daylin rubbed her eyes with her hands before she opened them slowly and looked up at Seraph. "Your still here," she said, smiling lightly at her father's girlfriend. She sat up and took a big whiff of the air and nodded smiling. "It smells good..." She took Ser's hand and pulled herself toward the older girl, putting her arms around her neck, wanting to be carried.

Seraph bit her lip a bit guiltily, knowing she had a lot of making up to do to Daylin. "Of course I'm still here, sweetheart. I promised you breakfast, remember?" She smiled at Daylin and watched her sniff promisingly at the air. Instantly getting Daylin's drift, she carried the girl effortlessly, one arm snaking around the tiny girl's waist and the other supporting her thighs. "Breakfast time, yes?" She lovingly kissed her cheek as she headed towards the kitchen. "Smith, your daughter is hungry and so am I." She winked at her handsome boyfriend as she put Daylin in her seat before taking one herself.

Daylin curled her small arms around Ser's neck and let her head fall on her shoulder, still sleepy from the wake up. She let out a yawn as they entered the kitchen and opened her eyes wide to look at her father with a smile, "Good morning, daddy!" she said brightly. Edward smiled at the little girl, "Good morning, Day-belle." He laughed at his girlfriend and shook his head lightly, "Well you guys can just hold your horses, because I'm working on it. The first couple are almost ready," he said as he looked up at them and walked over to Daylin's chair, kissing her hair softly as she reached up to put her small hands on both sides of his face.

Seraph put her elbow on the table and settled her chin on the palm of her hand, content to watch two of the people she loved most in the world. She smiled as Edward moved to kiss Daylin and a fluttering of heartstrings deep within her made her smile even wider. This was where she wanted to be... With these two, for as long as she could and even longer than that.

Edward smiled as the little girl and kissed her a few more times on the top of her head before he leaned down over her shoulder and looked at her, he didn't have his lip rings in yet and Daylin giggled, "Daddy, you look funny," she said, touching one hole in his lip. Edward smiled, "I look funny?" he asked with a chuckle before he kissed the little girls cheek. The timer on the waffle maker went off and he walked back over to the machine and got both waffles out, putting them on two separate plates and delivering them to his daughter and his girlfriend. He got the butter out along with peanut butter and syrup and set it on the table with a knife. "D'you want to help her with that, babe?" he asked Searphim, figuring that she would. He walked back over and poured more batter into the waffle maker.

Seraph snorted in amusement, shaking her had at Daylin's antics. Seriously, the girl was ah-dorable. "He does look funny, huh? Like a snake without fangs." She winked at her boyfriend as he went to go get the first batch of waffles. Seraph moved her chair nearer to Daylin as she took a waffle with her bare hand and bit into it. "So how do you like your waffles Day? We can make a fort with them if you like." She waggled her eyebrows at the little girl, suggestively as she began cutting up the uneaten parts of her waffles to make a little house on her plate.

Daylin giggled and nodded at Seraph's comment and her eyes opened wide as she said they could make a fort with them. "You can make a fort with waffles? Can I go in it?" she asked, surprised. Edward then let out a sigh, laughing softly, "I meant cut it up for her, but I guess houses work too..." Daylin grinned at Seraphim, "I want a big fort! The whole kitchen!"

Seraph giggled as her eyes met Daylin's wide ones. "I'm afraid not, honey. It's going to be really small, I'm not sure my hand could fit in it without demolishing it." She started to slice the waffles into squares that she could stack and arrange with the toothpicks on the table for Daylin's fort. "But I'll tell you what, on the weekend, we can have a sleepover... And we'll make the biggest fort you've ever seen." Already, she knew she'd be spending the week at Edward's. Their family was just too hard to stay away from.
She glanced at Edward and gave him a wicked grin. "I am slicing, Smith. Just not the way you want me to." She laughed as she started stacking the smaller waffle pieces, making Daylin's fort and adding a door with a toothpick hinge (can you say 50 First Dates much? LOL). Ser carefully poured syrup over the entire thing before handing Daylin her fork. "What do you think? Good enough to not eat? Or bad enough that we should eat it as fast as we can?" She tore out another piece of her waffle from her plate and popped it into her mouth.

Edward smiled at the two as they continued in their waffle crafting, shaking his head lightly. Daylin let out a sad, "Aww" but was put back up in her spirits when she was told that they would be able to have a sleepover on the weekend with a big fort. "Can we sleep in it?" she asked excitedly, which is what she usually did when she and her father built blanket forts. She watched as Seraph finished her waffle house and she smiled up at her, "That's silly," she said, scrunching up her nose, "We have to eat the waffles. Daddy says I should eat slow, though..."
Edward had to chuckle at his daughters words, although he was glad that she had listened to him when he told her to eat slow so as not to give herself a belly ache. He heard the waffle maker buzz again and got two more waffles out for himself, walking to the table with the plate and starting to prepare his own, sitting beside his daughter while his girlfriend played with her at the breakfast table. "You're a bad example, Tay," he said with a smirk.

Seraph thought about it for a second. "Well sure we can.", she had a feeling that she'd be putting Daylin back in bed before the night was over though. Well, she'd cross that bridge when she got there. She grinned and giggled at Daylin's expression. "I have a cousin, her name's Yume... I think you've met her. When our other cousin Georgie makes things like this, Yume gets all sad because she thinks it's too cute to eat." She shook her head at the thought and nibbled on her own waffles. "Then we should eat slowly or your daddy's going to get all red and steam is going to come out of his ears."
She glanced at Edward briefly and gave him a winning smile. "Good and bad is relative, Smith."

Daylin grinned at her response. "Oh my gosh, everybody's gonna be jealous cause I have you now, they only have mommies and daddies but I have Daddy and Ser! Can it be bigger than a room? Cause Jeremy said that his fort was bigger than his room." Edward raised a brow at this statement and shook his head, leaving Seraph on her own for that one. He started to eat his waffle as they talked about the waffles and he shook his head lightly again. "Well compared to other adults you're kind of bad," he teased, joking with her of course. She was awesome, not hiding that.

Seraph blushed and a giggle bubbled from her lips as she shook her head at Daylin. "If Jeremy's fort was bigger than his room then he must have quite the tiny room. I don't think we can make a fort that big here without making a big mess.", she paused and bit into another piece of her waffle. "If your dad's cool with it though, maybe we can go to my house one of these days. I'm sure my brother and the rest of our male relatives would love to build you a giant fort." Knowing her brother, Cameron, Xander and even Seph, Daylin would have them eating out of the palm of her hand before lunch.
She smiled at Edward and rolled her eyes. "Well I don't consider myself an adult yet. Just an... older kid."

Daylin nodded as she looked at Seraph. Her eyes got wide with the offer to go to Seraph's house and grinned, "We can go to your house?" she asked excitedly. She looked at her dad and grinned. He laughed lightly, "Alright, well right now you need to eat so you can get ready for school, alright?" he said lightly as he continued to eat. He glanced at Seraph and smirked, shaking his head lightly. He loved that girl. He smirked again and shook his head at her words, "Well then I guess it's alright that you be a bad example," he teased, "Since you're still a kid yourself."

Ser nodded enthusiastically as she finished off her breakfast. "Yup. My mom would love to see you again and I'm sure Georgie has a load of treats she wants her favorite taste-tester to check out. Why don't you finish your breakfast? Your dad's right, the sooner you get off to school, the sooner we'll see you back home." She glanced back at Edward and smiled brightly. "Exactly what I was thinking."
