Gracie smiled and nodded, "I guess you're right," she said lightly before she looked back up at him. He took the bottle and she licked her lips, "Don't forget to test that, babe, on your wrist," she reminded him before she started to twist the other top on Harper's bottle. She nodded with his last few thoughts, "I don't know what I'll want to do. I'm really hoping that I'll want to do something, maybe make some friends that have new babies too, so that when the girls get bigger they'll have some friends to play with besides each other."

Avery stopped a few inches away from Devyn's mouth and then back tracked to test the formula's temperature on his wrist, then proceeded to feed his daughter. "You don't have to decide now, I'm not trying to pressure you or anything, but yeah if you can find anyone with kids the same age as the girls then that would be awesome. Is there even anyone in town with kids the same age as the girls? I mean Tess has Gage, but he'll be two in six months." He honestly hadn't paid much attention to any other girls in the school outside of Tally and Gracie, there was no real point. "I know there was one other girl in our graduating class who is pregnant, but I can't remember her name...anyway she looked to be about ready to pop too."

Gracie nodded again, she knew she wouldn't have to, because really the girls wouldn't even realize that they were around other babies until they were crawling, and even then, babies don't really play together they play sitting next to each other, wrapped in their own world. She licked her lips, "I'm sure there are. I'll bet there are at least two other babies that are around the same age as the girls. I know the town's not big, but there's got to be a few." She tested the second bottle and then started to feed Harper as well. "I think I remember her. Maybe if I actually go to graduation I'll try to meet her. I think Tally wants me to go, but I don't think I'll be able to walk. The girls might need me during the ceremony."

Avery looked up from Devyn. "Oh, Gracie, I want you to go to graduation and to walk. My mom will be there and I know the girls are still young but they'll be fine away from you for an hour." He frowned. "I don't want you to miss it. Please." He begged, he was going to miss it, but that was a choice he'd made for himself years before he'd even met Gracie. "And even if you decide not to actually walk, which I hope you do, then you should at least attend to see Tally and Monte and everyone walk, and to meet this girl. Who knows she might be looking for someone in the same boat to converse."

Gracie let out a sigh and nodded, "I know, Ave, but what if they need me. What if one of them starts crying? Your mom shouldn't have to leave the ceremony and miss Monte walking just because one of the girls cries. I don't want my mom to have to miss Tally either." She sighed lightly. "I mean, I'll definitely still go. I want to be there, but I don't want to leave the girls for someone else to deal with." She looked up from Harper to Avery. "But I'll find that girl, I promise."

Avery frowned. "Not going to push you, but I'm sure my mom wouldn't mind leaving for a second to tend to her granddaughter and besides there's a huge gap between Conners and Mondego so if the girls get upset around the C's mom can take care of it and if it happens around the M's your mom can take them." If his hands weren't full of baby and bottle he would have lifted them in surrender. "But if you think it's going to be an issue then don't stress over it, alright." He kissed her cheek and turned his attention back to Devyn. "You all done there little girl?" He asked her, setting the nearly empty bottle on the counter and lifting the little one to his shoulder to burp her. "If I could, I'd sit in the audience and watch them both so you could walk."

"I don't know... They're only going to be a week and a half old when it comes around. I don't want to have to be worrying about them the whole time, plus, the ceremony might only be an hour long, but I have to be there early if I'm going to walk," she said. She knew she was just arguing her point when she didn't have to because he'd already told her to do what she wanted, but she wanted him to know her reasoning. "I just... I'm not ready to let them go yet," she said with a weak smile as Harper finished hers as well. She set her up on her shoulder as well with a rag over her shoulder. "I love you, Avery, thank you. I just don't think I'm going to be able to walk."

"Ok." He said, still unhappy about it. "If you decide to go to college in the future and say around that time we have another baby, you're going to walk, I'm not going to take no for an answer." He gave her a small, but serious smile and pulled Devyn from his shoulder after she put off a very audible burp. "Your Uncle Monte would be proud of you." He teased, finding a rag to wipe the little bit of spit up from her tiny little chin. "I love you too Gracie and that's the only reason why I'm stating my opinion and backing off." He kissed Devyn's head and walked back into the living room to put her back into her car seat.
The doorbell sounded just as he got her secured and he opened the door. "Pizza's here." He took out his wallet, paid and tipped the guy, and went back into the kitchen, he left briefly to bring Devyn and Harper's car seats into the kitchen as well. "You think Tally would know the girl's name?"

Gracie smiled at him, "Alright, I promise I'll walk at my college graduation. I just think that it's not that important right now for me to walk at Graduation when my babies might need me." She smiled lightly as Avery spoke to their baby and then she heard Harper burp as well. "Alright, well, there you go. Monte would be proud of you too, baby girl. We've got some masculine little girls on our hands, Ave."
As he walked back in with the pizza and then the car seats, Gracie set the other little girl in her own car seat and looked at Avery as he asked his question, "I don't know, she might. She remembers people's names better than I do." She opened the pizza box. "I'll call her after we eat. Come on, I'm hungry."

Avery grabbed two plates from the cabinet and flipped the pizza box open. "Smells good and that sounds like a great idea. Maybe Monte would know if Tally doesn't, but I'll call him later, he's being such an ...." He paused, glanced at the two car seats and bit into a piece of pizza. "You think they'll fall asleep by the time we're done eating?"

Gracie nodded and took a plate putting a slice of pizza onto it. She nodded at his question, "Yeah, I think they'll be asleep. Harper almost couldn't finish her bottle." She licked her lips before she took a bite of her pizza. "So talk to me, what's Monte been doing? I'm pretty sure I've missed a lot of what's been going on around here the past few days."

Avery raised an eyebrow but promptly let it settle back down when she asked about Monte. "He's just being a manic depressive jerk." That was the nicest way he could describe his twin brother. "He has girl problems, he's in love with Aya, but Aya wants nothing to do with him romantically anymore and he sort of lied or omitted information to about Aya to Selena so she's supposedly pissed at him and he's got it into his head that he's just going to go back to New Orleans once I come back and his duty is done with Harper and Devyn. He claims he won't have anything to do with any girl, basically a vow of chastity." Avery gave Gracie an unconvinced look and continued. "He claims he won't be in contact and that'll be that, it'll be like I never had a twin brother. He thinks being out of the picture will help Devyn and Harper have a better, less confused relationship with me, it's dumb."

The whole scenario really just made Gracie want to cry. She couldn't understand what would make anyone want to leave these sweet girls and not be in their live or just ditch their twin brother for that matter. She nodded, "That's why you're so worried about him leaving..." She licked her lips, not sure of what to say to help him. She sighed. "If anything that's just going to confuse them more. They won't understand that you're their daddy if he leaves. They'll think you're Uncle Monte. If they don't have both of you, they won't understand that you aren't the same person." She shook her head. "You both have to be here." She shook her head, "So basically because two different girls screwed him over he doesn't want anything to do with his nieces who will adore him and think he's the best thing since dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets?" She put her pizza down on her plate. "I just don't understand how not having anything to do with girls has to do anything with leaving his family."

"Three..." Avery cradled his head in his hands, Gracie was right not having Monte around when he came back would be more confusing for them. Eventually they would grow up and know there were two different people who looked exactly alike because they would understand the concept of twins, but how soon would that occur? Avery didn't want his own daughters to think of him as Uncle because he and Monte wouldn't have the same mannerisms but with Monte around for the first six months they'd know him better. "Would it be wrong if I said I don't want him around them until I am? So they know I'm Daddy." It broke his heart to even suggest his brother not be in their lives from the start or ever. "He just ticks me off you know."

Gracie shook her head lightly, "I really just want to kick him really hard so he'll get some sense knocked into him," she said, shaking her head again. How could he just up and leave everyone, not let anyone know what was happening and be alright with it? Licking her lips, Gracie looked up and shook her head with his question. "No. I don't think that's wrong of you at all," she said. She swallowed and looked at him, he was torturing himself and it killed her inside. "Hey," she whispered, standing up and walking around behind him, letting her arms slide down to either side of his neck, "I understand. I would die if Tally left me and didn't tell me where she was going or keep in contact with me. Does he know that you're feeling this way? If that would make a difference..."
