Tillie has only lived here for less than a week, and she already felt as though she lived here her whole life. She was a pretty optimistic person that way. Anything negative that tried to come her way, she simply pushed it aside, acting as if it never happened in the first place. So after her little tour of the town by her new foster father, Toni, she insisted on taking her own little journey throughout the town. Toni let her, reminding her not to go too far, seeing as she has only been here for a couple days and still didn't know the whole whereabouts of this town yet. She packed up her sketchbook and pencil in her arms, holding them close to her as she started on a walk towards the lake. She had heard about this place from Toni and a few of her new siblings, but wanted to take a look for herself. It was a good fifteen minute walk for her, with an occasional stop and look at the different sights and shops around town. She glanced up at the lake with amazement, giving herself a small toothy grin as she continued down the path towards her destination, balancing across a stiff log before taking a spot on one of the big boulders. Plopping down, she swung her legs over the edge just above the surface of the water, and set her sketchbook down next to her just to take in the beauty of the lake before anything else. After a few minutes of daydreaming like she normally did, she realized why she was down here in the first place, and immediately curled her legs back up and behind her, rolling over on her stomach on the long boulder, grabbing her sketchbook and pencil and started a continuation of doodles she has been drawing lately.

It had been less than 24 hours since he arrived in Riverside, but Henri felt like he was already familiar with the place. He was so much more comfortable with Enzo around, but also happy he didn't have to depend on his cousin, considering all the stress he knew Enzo had but didn't mention. Didn't he mention a girl he met recently...? He wondered to himself, reaching a clearing where a lake was. He wandered around the lake, it was nice here. Not too city-like as Paris and Seoul were, but also not too country-ish. It seemed a like a perfect mixture he could quickly get used to. Noticing a girl on the other side of the lake, he sat down where he was standing, deciding to draw her. He glanced over to her, swearing he caught her eye a couple times, but trying to ignore it.

A few minutes passed quickly and Tillie was finished with her doodle. She tapped her pencil a couple times on the rock, swinging her legs in the air, while trying to figure out what to draw next. She tilted her head up slightly, catching a quick glance of a boy across the lake. Is he looking at me? she couldn't help but think. She brought up a small smile, giving the boy a quick wave. Finally, coming up with an idea, she flipped over to a new page and began drawing something new.

Henri smiled at the wave, barely catching it but bringing his head back up in time to give her a quick nod. He had finished the basic of his drawing, and now began to work on shading. He had never tried working on a subject that was actually alive before, and he liked how this picture was turning out. I'll have to do this more often... He thought to himself, his smile not leaving as he approved of his own picture.

Tillie smiled at the nod she received back, and returned back to her own drawing. It took a few minutes before she realized then what she was drawing. It was anime of course. But of who the people were was what surprised her. The girl seemed to be resembling herself, and the other character which was pictured holding the girl in his arms looked an awful lot like the boy across the way. Tillie never really thought too much of what she wanted to draw most of the time. She normally just...drew whatever her heart told her. She glanced up at the boy across the way again, keeping a light smile on her face, as she began staring out in one of her spaced-out daydreams again.

Henri looked up again only to notice her staring at him, or past him, he wasn't honestly sure. As the sun came out perfectly, he erased a part quickly and added in the rays of sunshine. Closing his sketchbook, he stood up and went over to her, clearing his throat as he neared her, realizing he didn't actually know what he wanted to say to her, other than get to know this beautiful girl.

After a couple minutes, Tillie returned her attention back to her own drawing. She was almost finished with it then, but a shadow cast around her light, and caused her to look up, spotting the boy who was just across the lake. "Oh. Hello." she said in all smiles.

Henri just looked down nervously, "Hello." He told her, his funky but cute French-Korean accent showing through the simple word. He opened his sketchbook and ripped out a page, handing her his drawing* of her. On the picture, he had scribbled out, To the girl at the lake, vous êtes beau, si cette image s'est avéré magnifique. (You are beautiful, so this picture turned out beautiful.) à partir de votre admirateur secret (From your secret admirer), Henri He cleared his throat, "This is for you." ((*The picture isn't exactly like that, but it just to give you an idea...))

Tillie giggled softly at his shy greeting to her. When she saw him tear out a page in his book then, she pushed off of the rock from her stomach to sit upright, closing her own book before grabbing the paper that was handed to her. "For me?" she questioned, taking a slow glance at the picture. It was her! Tillie's jaw dropped slightly as she looked over the drawing once more before tilting back up to face the boy. "Thank you. This is really good. But..." she looked back at the writing, furrowing her eyebrows in concentration. "What does it say down here?" she pointed out the strange language he wrote out at the bottom.

Henri smirked, knowing she'd ask that. "It's a secret," He told her with a flirtatious wink, "All I will tell you is it is French." He told her, looking into her eyes coyly.

"Secret?" she questioned him again, giving him her full attention now. She really was curious as to what this said. "French?" she asked again, burying her face into the drawing again, trying to decode the message as if it were that easy. "Hm...I should really try learning the language sometime then." she giggled, looking back up in his eyes. "It really is good though. I love anime. What's your name?"

Henri smiled, "My name is Henri Demont. Nice to meet you." He said, extending his hand to offer a hand shake.

Tillie gave him a wide grin, shaking his hand in response. "Henri. That's a cool name. I'm Tillie. Nice to meet you, Henri." she smiled, letting go of his hand to slide the drawing Henri drew for her into her own sketchbook to keep it from getting dirty or wrinkled. She turned back to Henri then, her smile not yet fading away. "So is anime your, like, favorite style to draw? Or do you like other styles too, like for instance, real life or something."

"Um. I usually actually do manhwa style. It's like manga and anime, but Korean-style." He laughed slightly, "I'm not sure there's much of a difference... And I also do some landscape, but I only started that about a year ago, so I've got a lot to learn." He glanced down at her sketchbook, pointing to it simply before asking, "What about you?"

Tillie nodded, seeming a lot more interested in his art already. She giggled softly at the last part, then. "You're probably better than I am though." she smirked, leaning back against the rock, startling herself when she nearly knocked over her own sketch book. She grabbed it and tucked it safely between her arms and chest, holding onto it tightly. "I mostly do just anime. The regular kind...I guess you could call it." she laughed. "I looove drawing Chibi art too, though. Those are pretty much the only kind of art I draw, really."
