Henri laughed, shrugging as he figured he wouldn't reveal his "secret" quite yet. Noticing her dig for change, he casually ordered his own strawberry-banana smoothie and paid for both.

Just as Tillie had found the second half of her change, she looked up to notice Henri paying for both their drinks. "Oh, you didn't have to do that, really." she bit her lip. She did feel sort of bad that he had to use more of his money just because she didn't have enough. "I mean, its my fault if I don't have enough. I-I could always get one another day you know."

"It's on me." Henri replied with a smile, letting his accent slip through more than usual, trying to be suave. "Besides, what kind of guy would I be to let you pay?" Teasingly, he added, "That wouldn't be very French of me." he stuck out his tongue playfully. "If you want to pay me back, I wouldn't mind coming here with you again. Maybe even for a snack, too. You seem like you would like chocolate croissants." He guessed, hoping his assumption was once again correct and he could play psychic again.

Tillie couldn't help but blush slightly, pulling up her sketchbook just below her nose. "Thank you." she shyly put, lowering her sketchbook down again when he mentioned something about coming here again with her. Was he asking her on a date or something? From what she remembered, Tillie's never been asked out on a date before. Sure, she's had crushes on a bunch of guys, hoping that one day they would ask her out, but at the same time she worried that her child-like brain would scare them off. She wasn't exactly matured like some of the other girls her age were. "Ohh, cool! Yeah, I wouldn't mind paying you back. It is fair after all, right?" she smiled wider, keeping her playful cool like usual instead of letting her inside jitters show. "Oh my god, I loooove chocolate croissants. Anything chocolate actually." she giggled.

Henri winked, leading her over to a table, "Told you I'm psychic." He teased. Only after sitting, he let out a small sigh, "My dad always told me to always pay for a woman, but I've come to learn not all women like being paid for." He admitted. "So I usually pay the first time and offer to let them pay next time." He let out a laugh, "though normally the 'women' I speak of is just my step-mom, aunt, or cousins." He confessed, even though he knew it wasn't necessary. Something in him just didn't want her thinking he had been on a lot of dates.

Tillie giggled. "Well, at least you're a gentleman." she grinned a bit wider. "And fair. Being fair is always good too." she quickly added in, looking back over to the counter as their order was being called. "Oh. That was fast." she squeaked, getting up to grab her smoothie as well as his own order. She handed him his things on the table in front of him and took a few quick sips of her own smoothie licking her lips after. "Mm....My favorite." she giggled, looking back up at him with a slight tilt of her head. "Bet you knew its my favorite already, huh? Psychic." she stuck her tongue out at him, before taking another small sip.

Henri laughed, jokingly adding in a "Yup." He muttered a thank you as he took a sip from his own drink. "It's very good here.e I like the drinks, and the atmosphere is pretty nice, too." He said, moreso thinking aloud than trying to make conversation.

Tillie continued sipping her drink, almost not even realizing Henri began talking again. Was he making conversation with me? Should I reply back? What...what should I say? God, this is awkward. Tillie bit her lip then, and smiled out a quick nod. "Mhm." she squeaked, slurping her drink continuously as well as fiddling with her straw in between her fingers nervously. "So...erm...what else do you like to do? Besides draw I mean?" Did I already ask that? I hope I didn't, that would be too awkward.

Henri thought a moment, sensing the conversation had gotten awkward, but not sure what to do about it. He shrugged. "I spend a lot of time on the internet." He admitted with a laugh. "Since I lived in Korea for middle and high school, I have a lot of close friends I can now only talk to online." With a just-long-enough pause, he asked, "What about you?"

"Oh, really?" she giggled, biting at the straw in her drink to hide her awkwardness, or rather, show it off some more. "That's cool, I like to go on the internet sometimes too. Mostly to post some of my artwork up online for people to see. I just like seeing how many people comment on my work, saying how much they love it and such. It makes me feel...confident. Confident knowing that I can do anything that I put my mind to." she explained, returning to biting at her straw again. She suddenly felt like she told too much about herself. She did have that tendency to babble like an idiot after all. Now he's probably gonna ask me all these questions...Man..

Henri nodded slightly, sipping on his drink. "Like... what's it called? Deviantart?" He tried. "What type of style did you say you liked to draw?" He asked, trying to remember but not able to.

"Yeah! That's it! DeviantArt." she explained, taking a quick sip of her smoothie again before answering his next question. "Oh, mostly Anime. I've been really into Anime lately. I love drawing Chibi stuff too though." she said, feeling so proud of her latest drawing she did of him across the lake.

Henri smiled. "We seem to have similar tastes." He told her simply. With a small shrug, he added, "Japanese things always interested me, but since I never lived there, I don't know what it's like at all... I'd like to see it some day."

Tillie nodded. "Looks like it. Oh!" she just remembered, "I'm also really into video games too. Mostly Gamecube and some Wii." she explained gladly. Even though they had just met a few hours ago, Tillie already had felt comfortable talking and hanging out with Henri. He was easy-going, and pretty laid-back. Just the kind of friendship she was looking for. And for someone who would accept her hyper and craziness. That was important too.

Henri laughed, "Maybe one day we should play video games together. I've got a Wii that somehow made it safe through luggage checks." He said, only slightly joking-he recalled being very surprised his suitcase could look so beat up but his Wii had come out unscathed in a duffel bag.
