"Better than me." Tillie smirked, kicking a small pebble she came near. "Whenever I tell people my age, people are almost always so surprised with the answer I give them." she gave a little shrug, lowering her sketchpad in her hand so it was at her side now. "I don't blame them though. With the baby face I have, its hard to say that I really am eighteen, let alone how I act on a regular basis." she giggled, biting her lip then realizing she was probably talking a bit too much.

Henri listened to her carefully. Though he was fluent in English, he found listening to her entrancing and almost like a new experience. "I lived in Korea for part of middle school and high school, they always thought I was older than I really was. To be called younger seems like it would be refreshing." He told her with a small laugh.

"I see." Tillie nodded, kicking another pebble at her feet. Personally, she could never imagine being called older or mature for her age. Sure she did sometimes wish she was considered older, but at the same time, she was perfectly happy being her childlike self. It was more fun to her. "So...how long have you lived here?" she asked suddenly, trying to figure out what to talk about next.

"Um," Henri began, trying to remember. "I think it's been about a week now?" He guessed, "I live in an apartment near my cousin and his family." He explained. "My parents still live in Korea, though my dad and I are French."

"Oh. Really?" he seemed like he was some other ethnicity, but didn't bother to ask. "That's cool. I started to learn French when I was little, but quit once it started getting too hard." she shrugged. "I don't really stick to a lot of things. Mostly its just drawing I'll stick to."

Henri couldn't help but laugh a little. "I've had a few friends say that." He told her lightly. "I thought English was pretty hard. Some times it's frustrating when you don't get immediate results. It was really hard my first couple years in Korea. But before I knew it, I went from knowing nothing to understanding my Korean friends perfectly. It was the same with Englih, because I went to an international school, it was taught in English, and at first it seemed impossible. I feel like I'm rambling..." he trailed off, letting out a small, nervous laugh.

Tillie nodded, understanding where he was getting at. At some points, she opened her mouth to say something, but it ended up him continuing on explaining about how hard or exhilarating it was to learn a new language. "It's alright. I do that too." she reassured, giving off a sweet smile to him. "I mostly start rambling when I meet new people actually. And sometimes, I feel like I spill more stuff than I should." she licked her lips, looking straight ahead again, glancing over at the small town they finally started to near.

Henri couldn't help but smile, happy she understood. "Sometimes, I kind of feel as if I'm at a lost for conversation when I meet someone new, so I start rambling." He explained sheepishly, a small chuckle escaping his lips.

Tillie giggled whole-heartedly at his explanation. "Yeah, that's pretty much the same with me." They started nearing closer to the coffee shop then, which got Tillie even more giddy with excitement. She has always loved exploring around new places. It helped give her ideas for her drawings. "Here we are." she grinned, taking a turn into the shop filled with freshly-made coffee and desserts.

Henri smiled as he held the door open for her. Looking around the cafe, he couldn't help but take in the atmosphere. Seeming to read her mind, he commented, "This seems like a great place to draw..."

Tillie skipped in through the doors, turning back around to face Henri again with a wider smile. "Weird...that's exactly what I was thinking." she giggled. "Can you, like, read minds or something?" she teased, giving him a playful nudge in the arm to show it.

Henri let out a light laugh. "Yup, it's my secret though, please keep it safe." He told her playfully, putting a finger up to his lips. "What do you suggest to try?" He asked her.

Tillie let out a giddy laugh, looking back up at the menu then, thinking of what kind of smoothie she felt like having today. "Hm...how about--hey!" she glanced back up to him in a more playful manner. "I thought you said you could read my mind. You should know what I want." she poked at his chest teasingly. "At least the flavor of smoothie anyway." she giggled.

"Strawberry banana?" He tried, knowing it was a commonly loved flavor. Or at least, it was for him and anyone he seemed to spend time with. If it wasnt, he somehow always found people who liked that flavor best.

Tillie's eyes widened. "That. That was it! Oh my god, how did you do that?" she began jumping up and down excitedly as if what a little kid would do. "That was so cool!" she repeated joyfully, looking back at the counter to order her smoothie and started digging out change in her pockets. Now if only I had enough to buy this drink. she groaned, still digging out the correct change to hand the man.
