Collins leaned into Xander as Chelsea settled into the booth across from them. "I'm glad you're good, Bo is great. He's not keeping me nearly as busy as you're keeping Collins, but he's coming in a close second." She smiled and gave another glance toward the counter. She placed her palms on the edge of the table, fingers extended up. "Collins and I should arrange a boys night out sometime so we can have a girl's night in or something." She winked, from what she knew of Xander he was quiet and shy and an arranged outing with a guy he hardly knew, probably wouldn't float his boat. "Look, I've gotta get back to work, wave me over when you know what you want, kay?" She hopped up, squeezed Collins elbow as she passed and disappeared to help a table on the other side of the restaurant.
"That's Chelsea, a mile a minute I swear." She grabbed a menu, despite already having a pretty good idea what she was going to order. "If you don't want to hang out with Bo, it's all right, I promise I can talk Chelsea out of it and still give her the girl's night in she's obviously craving."

Xander felt the flush of embarrassment crawl up his neck. "I... Uh..." He didn't get much in after that because Chelsea had left to continue serving the rest of the hungry customers. He turned to Collins, a pleading, bewildered look on his handsome face. "Well... Um... That was interesting. She really is a mile a minute kind of girl huh?" He glanced at the menu; too distracted with the thought of spending an excruciating awkward conversation with Bo. Sometimes, he wished he wasn't so shy, but he just couldn't help it at times. Surprisingly, his shyness had mellowed down once he had met Collins. And that was a good thing. He turned to her, forgetting his troubles once he met Collins' gaze. "So what should I get? Any suggestions?"

Collins nodded, looking up from the menu. "She has her down moments too, but most of the time she talks like an automatic machine gun and is always super perky. She probably would have made for a good cheerleader in high school, but she was always too busy with helping her sister here in the diner." Collins shrugged. "I don't think she has any regrets though, so that's good." She looked back down at the menu and then back up. "How about a bacon cheeseburger with curly fries and a coffee infused milkshake?"

He winced a bit; Jackie was a bit like that but even she shut up when he begged her to. "Doesn't that get a little... annoying? I-I'm not saying Chelsea's annoying but..." He put his hand over his face in embarrassment and winced. "Sorry; I have a habit of digging my own graves around pretty girls." Xander glanced at Chelsea who was serving the other patrons of the diner. She really did look like a literal pocketful of sunshine. It was nice to be so carefree; having no regrets in life... He was a bit envious of her optimism.
His lips curled into an amused grin. "You know me too well Jordan Collins. I think that would be the perfect menu for me. Especially that coffee infused milkshake." Xander shook his head before leaning down to brush his lips against hers. "How did I get so lucky with you huh?"

Collins looked at Chelsea as Xander spoke and shrugged. "No, don't worry about it. It can be annoying sometimes because it's like does anything bad ever happen to you? But she's so nice and it's not like she's flaunting her good fortune or anything, she's just happy and blessed. It'd be nice to be upbeat all the time even when things are really down. Like when she lost her parents she was sad, but she always found at least one thing to smile about every day." Collins had a smile on her face when she turned back around to Xander. "I love her, she's a great friend."
She leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Xander's lips. "I was taking a lucky guess on the cheeseburger and fries, but it's not exactly a secret that you love coffee. But I'm not complaining that you think you're lucky with me." She hugged him. "I think I'm going to get the same, except a strawberry milkshake instead." She waved Chelsea back over and received a smile accompanied with a 'one sec' finger.

Xander sighed softly as he glanced at Chelsea, envious of her optimism. Before he had met Collins, all he did was mope about his parents' death. And yet here was this girl, younger than him who made sure nothing in life fazed her. Why couldn't he be like that?
He put his arm around Collins and smiled at her. "I confess, I am quite obvious with my obsession." He paused and watched as Collins called for Chelsea. "So what do you want to do after we eat?"

Collins nodded her head, her eye brows raised. "You are blatantly obvious about it, but that's alright, I like that you love coffee so much. I might one day need to use it against you to get myself back into your good graces." She laughed and then shrugged her shoulders as she took a sip of her water. "I don't really have anything in mind. We could go swimming again if you'd like or a movie?"
Chelsea popped back in front of their table, her hands full with two trays laden with dishes and empty coffee cups dangling from her pinkies. "What can I get you guys?" She asked. Collins laughed and gave her order. "You know you could have dropped those off in the kitchen first right." Chelsea raised an eyebrow. "I've got this don't worry about me. Xander what can I get you?"

He chuckled at her reply, thinking to himself that whatever Collins' trangressions in the future, they were already forgiven. Xander nodded however, "You wouldn't be the first one to do that. Jackie does it all the time when she pushes me too far."
All Xander could do was star as Chelsea walked towards them. The gentleman in him wanted to help her out but the look on her face made him think that offering would bruise her pride so he simply gave her his order after Collins with a word of thanks.

Chelsea nodded her head and started back for the kitchen. "If I tried that I'd have dropped everything." Collins said, looking, eyes wide at Xander. "The girl's got talent. Jackie bribes you with coffee to get back on your good side? Interesting, so now I know it actually works." She winked. "Did you have something in mind for when we've finished eating?"

Xander chuckled at the look Collins was giving him and nodded. "Yeah; you're not the only one. I wouldn't have even tried to do that on my own. Accident waiting to happen." He nodded at her question and laughed, "Yeah; like when she takes my car without permission? I usually figure it out when she comes back with coffee for me and that toothy smile." He shook his head; Xander the pushover brother. He quirked a curious brow at Collins and leaned closer to her so that their noses were touching. "Oh? So what transgressions would you like forgiven then?" He shrugged easily and smiled, "Anything you want to do we'll do. I'm pretty indecisive about these things if you haven't noticed."

Collins shook her head. "No transgressions at the moment, but I can assure you, I'll do or say something that'll be just awful and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself unless I knew you were back on my side and if coffee helps in that process I'm not going to think twice about using it." She shrugged. "I suppose a swim would be nice or a walk, do you like to walk?"

Xander raised a curious brow; he couldn't help it. He couldn't think of a single thing that Collins could do or say to him that would be awful. Unlike many people that Xander was unfortunate enough to encounter, Jordan Collins never had her foot in her mouth, especially when they were together. He actually wanted to see if it was even possible for Collins to offend him. The way he felt about her at that moment however, made him pretty sure that it wasn't possible. "Well, I don't think swimming after we've just eaten is a very good idea." He paused and thought about their options, "I don't mind walking. Where would you like to go?" He wasn't a big fan of walking, unlike Jackie and Aya. But he didn't mind it much. Though a swim with Collins was tempting, he knew that it could get dangerous for them to swim with a full stomach. Besides, walking took time which meant Xander could use the time to be with Collins and get to know her even better.

Collins began wrapping her hair around her finger, sort of a nervous tick, as she sat there thinking of any other options they might have. "I guess you're right about the swimming bit, but maybe later, once our stomachs have settled? Um, I guess we could walk around the park or just around town aimlessly."
Chelsea returned to the table dropping off their shakes. "Everything will be out shortly, be right back." She disappeared again and Collins abandoned her hair and pulled her shake toward her. "I never got your feed back on the movie idea, we could do that until our stomachs settle if you're not keen on walking aimlessly through town."

Xander's cheeks flushed and he shook his head. "Sorry, I forgot to mention that." He chuckled sheepishly. "Do you know if there are any good movies out? We can do that and digest before we go swimming; good idea Collins." He glanced at Chelsea and grinned at her in thanks for the shake before sipping appreciatively. It was good; the flavor of coffee was distinct in the creamy goodness of the shake. "These are really good." He muttered softly as he took another long sip. "But it's up to you; if you'd rather walk than watch a movie, we could do that too."

Collins flushed a little. "Uh, I think the Muppets is out and Facebook has been lit up about some movie called the Devil's something, supposedly it isn't worth seeing." She shrugged. "We could always pick out the movie when we get there." She sipped her milkshake and then pushed it away as Chelsea walked back up to the table with their orders. "Here you go guys, sorry I can't chat much, apparently everyone decided to come here after school." She winked and disappeared again.
