Xander smiled widely at that as he nodded and followed her to the living room. "Well then, what about this Friday?" he counted the days off in his head and he was pretty sure that he could prepare everything by the weekend. He shook his head though, he didn't want to tell her the surprise just yet but he decided to give her a hint. "You do know how to swim right? Jackie told me you'd be asking me to borrow our pool one of these days." It wasn't like he really needed for her to know how to swim anyway; they weren't getting in the water after all.

Collins grinned. "I think Friday is perfect as long as it's enough time for you." She sat on the couch and set her mug on the table next to the couch. "I do know how to swim, love it actually." She tucked her legs underneath her on the couch and ran her hand over her knees. "I would love to go swimming, so when it starts to warm up I'd love to borrow your pool."

He nodded. "Yeah it'll be enough time... I think." Xander felt pleased that she knew how to swim even if Jackie had already told him that she was a swimmer. Not only did he feel like he was getting to know her all over again but he too was a swimmer and he was glad that they had more in common than he had first expected. "Well we have an indoor pool for laps; the outdoor one isn't really used for anything but decoration." Xander finished his coffee and glanced at the empty mug briefly before setting it down. "You know you're welcome to my house anytime."

Collins eyes lit up and she launched herself at him, hugging him around the middle. "Oh my god, I can't tell you how happy that makes me. So are we going swimming at your place or do you have some other fun filled idea in mind." Sensing that he might not want to disclose every detail she shook her head. "Never mind don't tell me anything else." She blushed as she realized she was clinging to him and detached herself from him. "I can't help that sometimes."

He was stunned into silence but he slowly wrapped his arms around her waist, smiling at her enthusiasm. "Well that wasn't the date I had in mind actually but maybe another time?" Xander shook his head. "Don't worry about it; your enthusiasm is cute." He moved to slightly brush a stray lock of hair away from her face. "I hope you'll like what I have planned though."

Collins settled herself on the couch cushion right beside him and smiled. "I'm sure I'll like whatever it is you're cooking up and if not I promise I'll let you know for future reference." She was positive she would like anything he set out before her. "So what are your plans for the rest of the night?"

Xander laughed and nodded. "Alright that works I guess; I wouldn't want to screw up any future dates we'd have because I didn't know what you wanted." He thought about her question; honestly he had been planning on moping the entire day because he had nothing to do. He would probably go home after spending time with Collins to get everything ready before practicing on his bass a bit. "Probably nothing; I'll have to start getting ready for our date but after that, I'll be free. What about you? Am I keeping you too long to complete your paper?"

Collins grinned. "So does that mean you need to go?" She looked at the clock on the wall. "If you need to go, I'll finish up my paper and when you come back we can hang out." She wasn't sure what they were going to do, but she was excited about it regardless.

Xander thought about it; he could prepare while she finished her paper and afterwards they could even have a swim together. Their date was a couple of days away but he could prepare early and she could finish her paper. "Well, what do you say to trying out our indoor pool?" He had not done any laps since he had moved and it was probably understandable since the move did taake a lot of time and he had been out most of the time, either with his family or Collins.

Collins smiled. "That sounds wonderful." She hugged him and got off the couch, pulling him to his feet and the into another hug. "I should only need an hour or two but if you need more time don't hesitate." She squeaked lightly with excitement and released him. "Am I annoying or what?"

Xander couldn't help but chuckle at the excitement that seemed to roll off Collins in waves. Really, it was just a swimming pool wasn't it? He received her hug and fondly kissed the top of her head. "You're not annoying; just over-enthusiastic. I think it's cute." He shrugged as if he couldn't help what he felt. "Alright then, I'll see you in an hour or two? Do you want me to pick you up or do you just want to head over to my place when you're ready? That way you can prepare on your own time?"

Collins thought about it. "I think I'll just head over, that way you don't show up while I'm still getting dressed or something." She started toward the door and opened it for him. "I feel bad for kicking you out so soon."
I feel bad for giving you crappy responses, sorry.

(( LOL Tiff. It's NBD ))
Xander nodded and rose as she did. "It's alright; it's not like we're not going to see each other again. Besides, I'd rather you have that paper out of the way so we can hang out more with less interruptions." Before he could change his mind, he leaned down and swiftly kissed her cheek before practically running out the door. "See you when I see you!" He found his way to the car without any problem and made his way back to his house, grinning like a fool. He knew he needed a load of things and the most important thing to do was talk to Georgie.
Once he had pulled in to the driveway, he got out of the car after locking the doors and headed straight to the kitchen where he was sure his cousin was. She was busy with a pie crust when he walked in. "Georgie, I need your help." She didn't bother to look up from her work. "What do you want me to make?" Xander sighed in relief and sat down on one of the barstools. "A simple dinner; probably filling sandwiches and chocolate covered strawberries." She raised a brow as she continued to stare at her pie crust. "Picnic date?" He laughed and shook his head. "Sort of; I want to take her to the beach for some sunset and star watching." Georgie grinned. "You're such a romantic it's a bit disgusting actually. I'll do it. When is it for?" Xander moved over to her and gave her a hug and an affectionate kiss. "I love you! This Friday." Georgie shook her head in amusement as she moved over to look for the ingredients to fill her pie with. "Yeah yeah yea, now go away; I'm busy." Xander moved away quickly to make sure she didn't change her mind. He walked over to the fridge for a bottle of water and a sandwich he was pretty sure his younger brother had made. He grabbed the plate and walked over to the living room to eat.

Collins' cheeks turned a light shade of red when he kissed her cheek and they stayed that way well after he walked out. She closed the door ran upstairs and finished her homework. She saved by clicking on the save icon several times, printed it, and as the pages printed out, she changed into her bathing suit and then layered clothes on top. A blue tank top, a pair of track shorts, jeans and a hood.
She figured it wouldn't take her long to walk to his house and it didn't, she found herself on his porch, well within the two hours she thought she needed and hoped he wouldn't mind her early arrival. She knocked on the door and stood waiting with her towel.

Xander had been preparing for their date for an entire hour and though the said date was still a few days away, he already had the basket with a blanket, Georgie had already promised to prepare the food and there was not much left to do. By the second hour he had gone into his room to change out of his clothes and into a pair of swimming trunks and a plain white shirt. He grabbed his towel and goggles and went to check on the pool at the back of the house. He set his things down and looked at his reflection from the pool water. "Xander! Door! Probably your girlfriend!", he was sure that was Georgie and he sighed as he ran to the front of the house, yelling at Georgie on the way. "She's not my girlfriend!" Yet. He opened the door, cheeks flushed as he saw her. "Hey."
