BaoChen interjected smiling at Penny. "Kasem is used to playing with kids older than him. It's nothing against you Penny." He looked to Kasem, "Kase, man, I told you, she's younger than you. Don't look so bored." Kasem looked up at his brother, spreading his legs and leaning back on his hands, "Can I bounce ball?"

Lizabeth chuckled softly. "She doesn't like to think that people are bored with her. Fixing problems seems to be her favorite thing to do." Penny tilted her head at Bao and nodded. "Ok." She looked over at kasem and nodded. "Yes. Here." She gave him the ball, then moved over to her cards. She started placing them in piles according to their numbers, looking very interested.

BaoChen nodded, "Kids are usually like that, aren't they?" He asked, shoving his hands back in his pockets. "I mean, I've been told my older brother and I barely played together at that age, and we're only a year apart." He told Lizabeth, leaving out the part it was probably because he was too busy playing with his twin to care about his other siblings. Kasem only bounced the ball a couple times before letting the ball roll off and crouching down next to Penny. "Whatchu doin?" He asked her.

Lizabeth nodded. "My cousin and I used to be close when we were babies, but then we didn't hang out anymore. I don't know, sometimes people just care for one thing more than the other I guess." She shrugged, not mentioning her cousin had left her and Lizabeth moved. Penelope's eyes were wide with concentration as she looked over the cards. "Mat'in umbers" She said slowly and softly. She finished a minute later and looked up at him. "Wanna pway cawd game?" She beamed at him again.

BaoChen nodded, shrugging slightly, "It happens..." He told her simply. Because his own cousins were older, he was never very close with them, they were "just family" to each other. Kasem sat down next to her, "what game?" He asked, watching her match the numbers together.

Lizabeth nodded, watching Penny for a while before hearing a loud screech. "Crap, i forgot about the tea!" She quickly rushed over to the kitchen, which was actually linked with the front room, pulling the tea kettle full of hot water off the burning. "Uh...sorry about that. Do you want any?" Lizabeth was blushing slightly, fiddling around in the cabinets for tea bags and a few cups. Penny shrugged. "You mat' up numbers. See?" She showed him the 10s and 1s and 5s all together, the other numbers all around. "Den...Ten.....ugh!" She pouted again, not being able to get "then" right. She sighed, continuing. "Den, you put dem in order." She moved the Aces in front of the ones. "Like dat."

"Oh, yeah... sure." BaoChen replied with a relaxed smiled. Following her to see what kind of tea she had. Kasem watched as she showed him how to do it, then gently took the cards from her, "Lemme try." He said, beginning to match the numbers.

"Uhm I can make green tea, I've got sweat tea for Penny and I. How do you like yours?" Lizabeth asked, turning a quick smile his way before going back to get another cup. "Does Kasem want any?" Penelope gave him the cards willingly, moving away. "Dats wight!" She giggled, clapping her hands. "Good job."

"I'll have sweet tea, please." BaoChen told her, then turned back to Kasem. "Hey kid. Do you want any tea?" "No." Kasem replied simply, not looking up from his game. He smiled at Penny, "I think I ge' it.."

BaoChen couldn't help but smile at the little girl. "She's so cute..." He muttered, more to himself than to Lizabeth. Kasem grinned proudly, " o' course. I'm smart." He told her, stating it like it was the most obvious fact ever.

Lizabeth looked up from stirring the tea cups and smiled. "Thanks." She glanced back at Penelope, who was raising an eyebrow at Kasem. She laughed softly, turning back to the tea cups. "It'll just be a minute or two for them to soak in. Penelope had raised an eyebrow at Kasem, tilting her head a little. "I be scared if you weren't." She said as if she were all grown up, having heard Lizabeth say it multiple times to her and other people. Lizabeth chuckled softly, shaking her head at the girl's behavior.

BaoChen nodded, glancing at the younger kids. Kasem looked back at Penny, sticking out his tongue. "You mean." He complained. "Be nice Kasem..." BaoChen warned his little brother.

Penelope frowned, folding her arms. "Am not." She said sharply. "Penny come on." Lizabeth turned around, raising an eyebrow at the little girl. "I didn't do nuffin." Penny went over and picked up her shells. Lizabeth sighed, looking at Bao. "She's fine, just very thick skulled."

"Mommy says I very smart." Kasem bragged. "Kasem..." BaoChen warned, then looked to Lizabeth, "I guess that makes two of them." He told her with a small laugh.
