Shawn gave a shrug. "I never thought you cared at all..." he grumbled, fidgeting a little more as she continued to climb all over him. After a while, Shawn pretty much gave up on her, and let her do what she wanted. Although he did try to argue back about carrying her around like this. He closed his mouth with an annoyed groan, and adjusted himself, grabbing her from behind, making sure she wouldn't slide off while he walked, and started walking again. "You're impossible, you know that?" he told her, letting go of one of his hands to open the door to the diner and walking inside, paying no attention to the people around them staring. "You know...you're gonna have to get off to sit and eat." he reminded her again, arriving to one of the booths where the waitress stopped by to drop off their menus.

"Aw, hey, you don't mean that." She frowned, of course she cared. Maybe not pronouncing it or showing it right, but she cared. She laughed at him, resting her head on top of his awkwardly. "Stop whining Shawny, you complicate things so much sometimes." She snickered, shrugging. "I'm not impossible, just very very very difficult." She hummed as they walked into the diner, pretending to sigh reluctantly as she slid off his back. "thanks." She said casually to the waitress, sliding in and taking the menu, looking it over quickly. "Sweet tea to drink, if you don't mind." She looked up, noticing the waitress eyeing Shawn. She was shocked of how badly this bothered her and she turned to glare at her menu, holding it in front of her face.

"Well, you sure don't show it a lot of the time..." he replied back, more in a whisper this time. He sighed and shook his head as she continued calling him that nickname, and just simply slid in the booth, picked up his menu and looked it over. "I'll have a root beer." he told the waitress next, looking up to make sure she got the order, then noticed her just standing there staring at him. "What?" she continued to eye him. "Hey, princess...take a picture, it'll last longer." he tried again, which seemed to grab her attention. "Go get our drinks." he ordered her, and she gave a simple nod and ran off to fetch their drinks. Shawn shook his head annoyingly, and returned his gaze back to the menu.

Polaris frowned, that kind of hurt. Polaris repressed a snicker as the waitress stood like an idiot in front of Shawn. "That's no way to flirt with a girl." She said after the girl had left, acid dripping from her voice unintentionally. She figured she'd just get a regular pepperoni pizza, no need in looking like an idiot and asking for pineapple....of course, what did she care. That didn't matter to her, she thought to herself, so she might as well. She didn't put down her menu though, concentrating on her breathing and trying to convince herself that she was not in any way, shape, or form, possessive over Shawn Fosterling.

Shawn looked up at Polaris from her comment she gave. "Why would I flirt with the waitress when I'm already on a d--on a d-date with you?" he questioned, obviously having trouble with even saying the word Date. He shook his head from his own stupidity and looked back at his menu, just trying to figure out a way to get through this date without having to end it even more awkward than it already was.

Polaris raised an eyebrow at him over her menu. "Don't strain yourself, stupid." She muttered, not looking up when the waitress returned, as if on cue. She seemed disappointed until she saw Polaris' annoyed look, as if they were fighting. "Is there anything i can get you?" She turned to Shawn, but Polaris pipped up. "Pineapple pizza, thank you." She made it crisp and clear, putting the menu down and looking straight at the girl, who almost seemed to flinch. She seemed to be suppressing a scowl as she turned back to Shawn. "And for yourself?" she said with a slight smile.

Shawn didn't say anything to that comment. He'd rather have this evening go by without a fight for once, after all. Since it seemed to be sort of a trend for them to have whenever they were together. He looked up at the waitress after Polaris made her order, and simply said to her, "Pepperoni and Sausage," he paused before adding in a bit hesitantly, "That's it. Thank you." and he ended it with a very slight grin on his face as he nodded as politely as he could for the waitress to leave them. You could tell Shawn was trying his damned hardest to change....for Polaris.

Rissy clenched her teeth when the waitress smiled back sweetly and added a 'be right back'. "I hate preps." She growled, sinking a bit in her seat as she tore apart her napkin into tiny pieces. She snickered as she debated asking Shawn for a lighter, she had been forced to leave all of her dangerous things at home. "I was kidding about the flirting thing. Don't encourage her." She blurted out, mumbling as she stacked the pieces into a pile. It bothered her more to realize that she was very bothered with the waitress, even though she was telling herself, it was the chick's job, or she was a prep, or she was a skank, or she was...some other foul word that wasn't pretty or sweet or attractive or damned dead. Rissy chewed on her lip to keep from growling.

"I...wasn't trying to flirt." Shawn told her simply. "Just trying to control my temper....trust me, I like that whore as much as you do..." he grumbled, sinking slightly lower in his seat to get more comfortable as he watched Polaris play with her napkin. He couldn't help but snicker some. "Having fun there?" he laughed, grinning a bit wider finally.

Polaris snickered as he called the girl a whore, seeming contempt that he had no interest. Not that he would, he doesn't take interest in anyone. she reminded herself sharply. She threw a playful glare at him as he snickered at her. "As a matter of fact..." She picked up a pick of the shreds and blew them at his face, grinning. 'I think I am now." She intertwined her fingers and propped her elbows on the table, resting her chin on her fingers as she smirked at him.

Shawn flinched as the paper came flying at him, hitting him right on the nose. "Ah!" he yelled, unexpected. "Oh, yeah, well..." to pay her back, he grabbed the straw in his drink, stuck the small piece of napkin in the end, and blew it at Polaris, having it bounce right off of her head and back on the table. "Ha! That's what you get!" he laughed aloud. It felt strange for Shawn to smile as much as he was right now, but it felt good. He was actually enjoying his time with Polaris, no matter how awkward it got sometimes.

Polaris laughed, shaking her head. "Keep your voice down, we're in a public place." She didn't exactly care, but she knew common courtesy and public manners. She couldn't help a squeal though when he spit one at her from his straw. "Ok, Third grader, let's go!" She quickly rolled up a piece of paper, spitting it at him from her own straw, making paper balls like a snow ball war.

Shawn just raised a brow at her simple as that. Until she started doing the same thing back to him in return. "Whoa!" he called out, moving his head just enough to dodge the wet paper. "So the games begin then..." he snickered, grabbing another wad of paper to wet, followed by shooting it right back with a laugh. He was surprisingly having a good time. Sure, he was acting like a child...but sometimes that's all you gotta do to turn that frown upside down.

Polaris laughed when he yelled, quickly picking up another ball of paper and shooting them back as fast as she could. She was actually having a great time, acting like some 5 year old without a parent to restrain her from causing a ruckus in a public place where the people stared or glared at them. She would've kept doing it to until someone cleared their throat pointedly. She looked up as the waitress stood with their food, glaring down at Polaris like she was the only one doing it. "We would appreciate it if you didn't horse around, or you can kindly leave." Ugh, even her voice was annoying and snooty. "Yeah, sure whatever." Polaris grinned at Shawn and leaned back in her chair. "So are you gonna set the food down or continue staring at me. I mean, I know I'm gorgeous but I'd be a little creeped out since you're a, y'know, female. Sorry, but I don't go that way." The girl gasped, glared and put their food down hard in front of her. "I wouldn't talk like that if I were you." She said acidly at Polaris. Polaris just snickered softly. "S'not coming out of my tip money, is it?"

Shawn continued spitting little paper balls as fast as he could as well, that is until the waitress came back, staring at Polaris rather than himself. He watched as the two girls went at it, but finally, Shawn cleared his throat causing the waitress to notice him again. "Excuuuse me, but I'm still starving over here. How about you stop complaining and start serving us. Like, now." he said in the most stern and serious tone he could put out, which seemed to work because the waitress set Shawn's plate down angrily and stormed off, her face red with embarrassment and all. "About fucking time." Shawn mumbled, blowing on his slice of pizza before chomping down his first bite.
