"Ah, yes! Good job!" JuLong replied, still as hyper as when they first began. "You are a very fast learner?" He repeated, seeming to look to her for approval as to how to say it right.

Tillie giggled like a little kid continuously, even more so when JuLong rephrased his sentence correctly. "That's it! You're a pretty fast learner yourself, you know." she grinned happily. "What else is there I can learn? Here, give me another sentence." she urged him, pushing the pad and pencil back at him again.

JuLong smiled at saying it right then bit his lip, trying to think of something else to teach her. "Okay, okay. This is hard one." He told her right off the bat. 它越来越冷。让我们去吃饭的地方。Ta yue lai yue lang. rang women qu chifan di difang. He wrote, only writing in pinyin this time. "This you will only use with me, okay?" He told her, flirting with a cheeky grin, having a lot of confidence to do so knowing she wouldn't get it right away.
((So *I* don't forget, it means "it's getting cold. Let's go have dinner somewhere."))

Tillie nodded, agreeing with him. She looked over his shoulder eagerly as usual to see what was being written. Her forehead wrinkled somewhat at how much was there. "Wow. That does look harder..." she pouted, though that didn't stop her from grabbing back the sketchbook and reading what was spoken to her. She cleared her throat again, and read, "Ta yue lai yue lang. rang women qu chifan di difang." She titled her head to the side then, looking back up at him. "It was long, but it didn't seem as hard as I thought it would be....just really long." she repeated. "What did I just say anyway?" she tilted her head to the other side curiously.

"Um." JuLong replied matter-of-factly, looking over it to see how it translated. He pointed to each letter one by one. "ta, it; yue lai yue lang, get cold. Rang women, let we (us); qu, go to; chifan, um... have dinner; di difang, somewhere." He explained, the slightest bit of blush forming on his cheeks as he explained it, but he was so concentrated on translating that what he was saying didn't really phase him.

Tillie watched him carefully and indefinitely as he explained it to her. Her smile grew wider as he came to the end, as well as her blush which grew brighter as she bit her lip. "So...basically, I just said that it's getting cold. And that we should go get some dinner somewhere." she blushed even harder.

JuLong nodded, not seeming shy about it, but in reality he felt his entire insides were doing flips. "Is it okay?" He asked her, looking at her curiously, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet.

After a short moment of blushing, Tillie grinned like a crazy little kid again, bouncing on her toes. "Of course. I'd love that. Where was it were you thinking of us going to?" she asked with even more curiosity.

JuLong sucked in breath through his teeth. "Actually. My family? Still very very new!" He told her enthusiastically. "So really... I don't" he said the next part with difficulty, seeming to get tongue tied in the English, "I don't know anywhere here very well." He tried, tilting his head to the side and looking at Tillie with wide eyes.

"O-oh. Really?" she said, tilting her head as well. "Well, I know of this diner we could go to. It's got really good burgers and fries. You know, something simple and not so expensive. I've heard their shakes are to die for, too!" she said the last part with pure excitement.

"Die for? Why would you die for a milkshake?" JuLong asked, confused, tilting his head even further to the side. ((I imagine him like this XD))

Tillie giggled even more at his confusion. He really was cute. "No, silly. Not literally die for. It's a figure of speech. Meaning that the milkshakes are really really really good. And almost everyone buys one because they are that good." she tried explaining a little more clearly. "You understand, now?"

"Ooooooo~~hh~" JuLong replied, eyes wide. "So then if person really wants something, they say they die for it?" He tried, not quite sure if it was he wasn't processing what she was saying or if it was just he couldn't say it in English properly.

Tillie didn't really know how else to respond to that, except maybe laugh a bit more. "Um...well, they might not use those exact words, but something like that, sure." she grinned, still giggling from what he said before. "So...does that mean we're gonna go there then? To the diner?" she asked curiously.

"Ok, we go." JuLong said, still thinking over how to use the phrase had learned correctly. "So then I think you are to die for?" He tried after only a couple of walking. "Is it okay?"
