As they started walking then, Tillie only half expected JuLong to say what he had just said, which of course, made her giggle like a little girl even more. "Yes. That works. It's very cute, too, you know." she added in, giving him a quick wink. "I think you are to die for, too."

JuLong smiled like he had just won a gold medal. "You too are ke ai. uh... cutie? cute." He told her with a smile. 哇......怎么能爱一个人下降这么快? (Wow... How can a person fall in love so quick?) he wondered to himself, biting his lip. He hadn't even met this girl an hour ago, and now he felt like he wanted, no needed to see her everyday. 它得到只是我已经永远不会有一个外国朋友和现在的我突然得到1和它一个女孩和她美丽和一切我可能曾经希望在一个女人,她是不是中国人,这可能是一个问题后,但真正除外它不是什么大不了的事,对不对?(It's got to just be I've never had a foreign friend and now I suddenly get one and it's a girl and she's beautiful and everything I could ever hope for in a woman except that she's not Chinese, which may be a problem later but really, it's not that big of a deal, right?) He rambled in his mind, and he took a deep breath afterwords, literally feeling breathless after it all.

"I think you mean, cute." she smiled, correcting him. "Is that how you say it in Chinese? ke ai?" she wondered, tilted her head slightly again. "If it is, then you are ke ai, too." Tillie said cutely, with a small giggle attached to it. She only hoped she was right with the meaning. Even if she wasn't though, she would find a way to rephrase what she said. Because he really was cute to her. And sweet. So this is what love at first sight feels like....

"Yes yes, wow, you really a fast learner." He praised, trying to use his own learned English. "I don't even teach, you still learn." He joked with her. He tried to make sure he was letting her lead instead of pretending like he knew where he was going, luckily he was used to dawdling when others would normally be walking, as Tillie was a bit taller than his own sister.

Tillie giggled softly to herself. "Well, you did sort of tell me when you rephrased your sentence, silly." she bumped into him playfully. "And its You are a fast learner." she corrected him again, whilst keeping her big smile across her face. "You're getting better though. You really are." she praised him, noticing they were already almost at the diner.

JuLong smiled and giggled along with her. "Oh, yes. yes. You are a fast learner? 啊,我永远不会得到这句话... (Ah, I'll never get this phrase...)" He muttered to himself. He noticed the diner and his grin widened, and he seemed filled with child-like excitement. "That is it, yeah?" He asked her, pointing to the sign.

"Good job." Tillie praised him, clapping her hands as well as giving him a small pat on the back, giggling and all. She looked ahead at what he was pointing to, nodded back to him with a wide smile across her cute face. "Yup. That's it!" she was feeling all giddy inside now too, being with him and all. Even if it hasn't even been an hour or two, she felt really connected to him already. She ran ahead, as if a little kid would and led him inside the diner, leading him to one of the booths where they were soon handed their menus by the waitress. "Mmm....I think I'll get a regular cheeseburger and fries. Oh! And a chocolate milkshake to dip my fries in! That's the best!" she squealed, feeling all hyper and giddy still.

"I will please have bacon cheeseburger and fry." He told the waitress. "And milkshake." He added. "Dip fries in?" JuLong asked after the waitress left, looking at Tillie with his eyes wide.

Tillie nodded like a hyper little kid. "It's sooo good. You have to try it." she told him, sounding more like an order though. "Fries dipped in a chocolate milkshake is do die for!" she added in, using what seemed to be their new line.

JuLong chuckled as she used the phrase again, thinking he was starting to understand it. "I will try." He promised her with a smile.

Tillie grinned wider. "Good." she said happily. "So....how long did you say you and your family has lived here for?" she asked curiously, leaning over the table intrigued.

"Um." JuLong began, counting on his fingers. "We have been in USA for... only one week?" He told her. "Before, we live in Shanghai. But my dad his work bring him here." He tried to explain. "Mom no want to be alone, so we all follow him instead of he go alone."

Tillie listened hard to him, trying to make out what he was trying to say in English. "Oh.." she nodded, ready to correct him already. "So....you've been in the USA for only one week. You lived in Shanghai before the move, but your dad's work moved him over here. And your mom didn't want to be left alone so the rest of you followed along with him instead of having him go all alone. Is that it?" she couldn't help but laugh out a little in the end at all the corrections she made for him. "Don't worry, I don't expect you to repeat that whole thing again the correct way. Just showing you...." she giggled again, covering her mouth when she did so. "So how are you liking it here in Riverside so far?" she asked, again, curiously as she tilted her head to the side.

JuLong listened carefully, staying almost dead silent as he heard the correct to explain the reason their family moved. "Yes! That is it." He agreed once she finished. He thought about it. "Right now, Shanghai have um... Monsoon season. Many parts of Asia have monsoon season in uh... summertime. So it really humid but rainy, too." He smiled to her. "I like this weather much better. So it very nice."

Tillie giggled softly at his expression to her corrections made. She listened again for any more corrections to make in his next few sentences, as well as listening to what he had to say. "Monsoon season? So, like, Shanghai is in monsoon season right now? It sounds like it has weird weather over there too...more weird than California weather. I like it better here, too. It's unexpected sometimes...but still nice." she grinned, more so at JuLong's English. "You're improving already, you know. You're a fast learner too, huh?" she giggled.
