"I wasn't really stretching." She said with a small smile. "Well, I was, but for an entirely different reason." She shrugged. "I didn't stretch before I climbed the tree, and I don't usually stretch before playing a sport either, although I should probably start."

Monte raised an eyebrow and completely stopped stretching. "I think you've lost me." She couldn't possibly be trying to show him how flexible she was, or just showcase her body. He didn't think someone who was all for covering herself up one minute would do something like that. He wasn't going to complain if tar was her real motive, but it just seemed odd. He glanced toward his friends and raised the other eyebrow. "You trying to show off your rockin' bod to my friends?" He'd be impressed by that move on her part if she were interested in him alone, but body language from before had him thinking she wasn't interested in him and her trying to show off to another guy just didn't sit well with him. Kinda busted his ego. He let his eyebrows fall back where they were supposed to be and picked up a glove for himself. "Lefty or righty?"

"What?" Amaya shook her head, a light blush on her cheeks. "Yes, that's exactly what I was doing. Showing my "rockin bod" to your friends." She rolled her eyes, trying to play off her embarrassment a little. "No, I was just stretching. Not for warm-ups or anything. Just stretching." She frowned, looking away again. "Righty."

Monte opened his mouth to respnod, but closed it. She made absolutely no sense. She was stretching but not stretching. Her little smile was just thrown in there to put him off in the wrong thought process. He pulled another right handed glove from the bag and tossed the others to the side. He picked up a baseball and tossed it into his glove. He gave her another glance and a smile. Oddly enough he was finding her strange reactions a turn on. He walked a good distance away from her with the ball and stopped when he got to the furthest distance he thought she could throw.

Amaya spread her legs again, placing her hands on her hips and sighed softly. She didn't understand why he was confused about her stretching, but didn't feel like explaining herself. She was glad he didn't bring it up again though. Running a hand through her hair, Amaya sighed again. What exactly did he mean by her "rockin' bod"? Sure, she knew what he meant, but she wasn't sure if that was his way of telling her that she was hot, or if he was being sarcastic. Why do I care? She finally thought to herself, a slight look of annoyance crossing her face. She shouldn't care...should she?

Monte turned around and raised the ball. "You think you can throw this far?" He asked, a smirk on his face. He had no idea if she could even catch a ball, but he assumed she wasn't one of those cry babies who simply ran screaming from the ball when it came at them. "You ready?"

Amaya rolled her eyes, sighing. "Yeah, I can throw that far." She may not have played baseball before but she did have a pretty good arm, and she could through pretty far for what people expected. "I'm ready."

Monte tossed the ball underhand to get an idea of how much she could actually take. Avery was the pitcher on the team, the starter on the old team, second string on the Riverside team by choice. The coach and a number of the team wanted him as the starter, but Avery felt it would be better for Garret to be the starter mostly because he wasn't interested in a career or scholarship whereas Garret was soley working for that goal. However, just because Monte was the first baseman didn't mean he could throw a mean curve ball at a decent speed like his twin.

Amaya caught the ball tossed to her easily and sighed. She really hoped he wasn't going to throw the ball like this the entire time. That would just be really boring. She tossed the ball back to him the same way he had tossed it, running a hand through her hair after. She had lost her hair tie somewhere between the park and here without realizing and now her hair was hanging to her shoulders, the shorter strands falling in her face.

Monte caught the ball, surprised that her under hand throw made it to him. He took a step back and decided to test her. He threw it at a moderate speed and force and turned when he saw the girls pull up. Garret waved him over. "Come on, looks like they're ready..."

Amaya just barely caught the ball thrown at her this time, caught a little off guard. She was about to throw it back but he turned away and she lowered her arm, sighing. She ran a hand threw her hair again and placed a hand on her hip. Amaya wasn't sure if she should go over to where the rest were or not.

Without a look back to see if she caught the ball or if she was even going to throw it back he ran over to meet the girls and the others, more interested in getting the game started now more than any of his previous motives. "Amaya your pick."

Amaya sighed and dropped her arm to her side, following Monte over to where everyone else was. "Oh, uh..." Amaya bit her lip, she didn't know anyone here and she wasn't sure who to pick. She finally opted on one of the girls, now trying to remember what he'd said her name was. "Uh...Collins?" At least, she thought that was what he said. Curse it all.

Monte blinked back his surprise, he would have thought she'd at least pick him first, that way there was at least one familiar person. He shrugged it off mentally and turned to Grady. "Mara." Another surprise there, though not as much, Grady was usually pretty good about trying to keep pick up game teams evenly matched, whereas Garret would have chosen the best first and would have smirked because of his 'cleverness.'

"Monte." It came out more like a question, which annoyed her a bit. She'd meant to pick him first, but hadn't really thought about it, and had nearly breathed a sigh of relief when he hadn't been picked. Amaya needed someone she knew on her team at least.
