Jina's facial features instantly softened, causing Kavi to relax just a little. "I kinda said she could spend the night... Just one..." He tried hesitantly. "Kyon likes her." He added in, only to get a glare from his mother. "Kyon likes everyone." Jina replied simply, and Kavi just muttered a small "I know." She crossed her arms, "I understand." She started simply. "You can stay tonight, but we have no room for you to stay permanently. Don't you have somewhere else?" She wasn't being cold about it, just curious. MinKyon seemed off in her own little world, interrupting her grandmother and father by pulling on Marissa's shirt. "We('ll) have lots (of) fun! Onni (big sister) can sleep in my room!" She said excitedly.

Marissa let out a barely there sigh, releasing the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. That is, until his mom asked her another question. She didn't want to tell her that she'd run away from home, but she didn't want to lie either, especially after she'd agreed to let her stay there for the night. "No..." She looked down when Kyon began pulling on her shirt, biting her lip but not saying anything to her suggestion.

Jina looked at Marissa, seeming to stare into her soul for a couple seconds before smiling and pointing to MinKyon. "You're lucky she likes you." She teased Marissa. "Batari, come here." She called, seeming to know what Kavi had been telling her earlier. Batari came down, "Yes mom?" She asked, looking between all the people there. "Can you let Marissa here borrow some clothes?" Jina asked her daughter. Batari looked at the girl seeming just a bit older than her, and then looked to her brother. "Okay..." She said simply. "Come on, you can pick anything." She offered, leading Marissa away from the group in the hall. Kavi gave her a weak wave, as if saying "It's okay."

Marissa was a bit afraid that she would change her mind and not allow her to stay, but sighed softly when all she did was tease her a bit. When Kavi's sister came out from being called Marissa looked from her back to Kavi a bit uncertainly when she was told to follow the girl, biting her lip when Kavi only waved at her. She silently followed the girl to her room,

Batari smiled as she led Marissa to her bedroom. "So, Kavi's showing an interest in a girl, huh?" She asked, her tone slightly teasing, but more towards her brother than Marissa. She opened her closet. "You can pick anything from this side," she said, pointing to the left side of her closet, older but still nice clothes. She showed no signs of being judgmental over the run-away girl, and couldn't help but notice Kavi was peeking in from the hallway, making sure nothing too embarrassing was said.

"Huh? O-oh no...he isn't...he just..." Marissa blushed deeply, not realizing that she was just teasing. Marissa walked up to the closet, biting her lip as she looked at the clothes. She finally just picked out a simple shirt and some blue jeans. "Uh-thank you..."

Batari was all smiles as she shook her head, "It's no problem. It gets hard for us teens sometimes, you know?" She stated, a strange, roundabout way of saying 'I can tell you're homeless but I'm not going to ask about it.' She went to the door, playfully and gently shoving Kavi out of the way before pointing down the hall. "If you want to shower, the bathroom is the the second door from here, on the left." She explained.

Marissa offered a simple nod, biting her lip. Her eyes followed the girl to the door, not having realized Kavi was there until she pushed him out the way. She felt her cheeks head up a bit and then followed Batari's directions, heading down the hall into the bathroom without looking at anyone. Once in there she sat on the toilet with a sigh, eyes scanning the bathroom. Marissa realized then that she didn't have a towel, and half hoped someone would bring her one so she wouldn't have to leave again. For some reason, Batari's question had bothered her a bit, and made her wonder if Kavi was actually interested in her, or if he was just being nice.

"Does she have a towel?" Kavi asked, still lurking outside his sister's bedroom door. "Oh, I don't think so." Batari said, then looked to her brother. "Why don't you bring her one?" "No way, she may be undressed already, you do it." He argued, playfully shoving her towards the hall closet. "Do you like her?" Batari asked with a giggle as she headed to the hall closet. "What?" Kavi all but squeaked, eyes looking like a deer in headlights. "Do. You. Like. Her? Did I stutter." Batari went up to his face before she asked, towel in hand. Kavi looked away quickly, seeming shy about the thought. "He does." Akio replied casually, coming out of his room with a lollipop in his mouth and looking like he was about to go somewhere. "Do you even know what we were talking about?" Kavi argued with his twin. "Not completely." Akio replied with a grin. "It's creepy how you two do that." Batari stated before taking their arguing time to give Marissa her towel, knocking on the door lightly. "Marissa, right? Here's a towel." She said, holding it out for her.

Marissa was about to just strip down and jump into the shower, towel or not. She hadn't bathed in days, even though she tended to wash up in the bathroom at the cafe whenever she was there, she was in need of a real shower. She was grateful when Batari came knocking on the door, opening it with a tiny smile. "Thank you." She said, taking the towel and closing the door slowly. Marissa then peeled off her clothes, turning the shower on and hopping in, sighing as the hot water hit her skin.

Akio left Kavi to his own devices as his twin looked helplessly at the bathroom door. Batari waved a hand in front of his face teasingly. "Anyone alive in there?" She asked him teasingly. Kavi just moved the hand away. "What do you want Tari?" He asked her lazily, his hands in his jeans pockets. "You like her, right? Why else would-" "Why is everyone so interested in who I might show an interest in?" Kavi asked, seeming annoyed. "Because you're the one with a kid." Batari replied knowingly. "Kavi," Came a voice from downstairs, and it made the two freeze instantly. "Yes mother?" Kavi asked with a small wince. "Come here." His mother called, her voice not in the least bit menacing, but strict. Kavi went down to his mother, Batari slightly behind him, curious as to what was going to happen. "You know I trust you, right honey?" Jina began. Kavi nodded and swallowed, not sure where this was going. "I don't know what made you decide to bring in a run away youth, but I'm sure you had your reasons. Kyon can't be your excuse all the time, you understand?" Kavi nodded again, biting his lip. "She just... seemed like she needed someone..." He said simply. "And it helps she was pretty, right?" Jina asked him, eyebrow raised. "It's not like that mom..." Kavi tried, though he knew it was lost cause. "These days... Someone who can be good to MinKyon is all that's important to me..." Kavi admitted. Jina nodded, hand on his head as she shoved him off toward the living room. "Don't be sitting outside the door like a stalker. Sit." She said, forcing her son down on the couch, then looking to her daughter, "Keep an eye on her until she's ready, okay?" Batari giggled and nodded, heading back upstairs and waiting in her room with the door open.

Marissa stuck her head under the water, letting it run down her body before finding some soap and washing thoroughly. She lingered a bit though once she rinsed off and washed her hair a couple times, not sure when the next time she would get an actual shower would be. Finally she climbed out, not wanting to waste all their water and dried off, pulling on the clothes she'd gotten from Batari. They were a little loose on her, but she figured she'd lost a bit of weight from the lack of food. Marissa towel dried her hair, leaving it damp. After she folded the towel and her old clothes and carried them out of the bathroom, not quite sure where to go next.

Batari heard the bathroom door open and went to check. "Oh," She said with a small chuckle, "Come over here, I think my mom's making dinner." She said, ushering her to her room. She handed her an old duffel bag that had some of her older clothes already in it. "No one told me to do this, but I think you could appreciate this more than me." She said, opening the duffel bag to reveal both winter and summer clothes. "If you don't want it, consider it an early Christmas gift and take it anyway!" She seemed to demand, though she was all smiles.

Marissa nodded and followed Batari to her room. Her eyes widened as she handed her the duffel bag full of clothes, ready to protest before Batari basically told her not too. "Thank you." Marissa finally muttered, keeping her eyes lowered. She wasn't used to people being as nice to her as they were, not because they wanted to at least. The staff back at home were nice only because they were paid to be and didn't want to lose their jobs, and other people tended to ignore her because of her family's wealth and power. Marissa gave a small smile, looking back up at Batari. "This actually helps a lot."

"No problem!" Batari said with a smile, "I was just going to either give them away or save them for when Kyonnie got older anyway." She gave Marissa a gentle pat on the shoulder. "Did you want to go back Kavi? You're probably overwhelmed by all this." She let out a small laugh. "You meet a guy, suddenly he brings you home and half the family's here."
