To: Liesl From: Brody
Had dinner with Kylie. You said you wanted to know.
Brody frowned as he messaged Liesl. He was still incredibly angry after their doctor's visit, and he knew this wasn't the best way to tell her but she had said she wanted to know what was going on with them.

To: Brody From: Liesl
Really, well that's just fucking fantastic isn't it. Did she choke?
She wasn't really sure how she felt about hearing from Brody. Sure she'd asked him to tell her if he took Kylie out or whatever, but now that they'd been fighting, she didn't really care anymore, quite frankly it made her feel like crap, as if he were trying to rub it in her face or something that he was doing everything in his power to make this meaningless girl happy and her distressed.

Brody resisted the urge to throw the phone against the wall when he recieved the message from Liesl.
To: Liesl From: Brody
No she did not choke. Why are you being like this? You told me that you wanted me to ask her out.
Setting his phone next to him, he ran his hand through his hair. Clearly telling Liesl over messages wasn't going any better than in person would have.

Liesl glared at the text message on the screen of her phone and grit her teeth.
To: Brody From: Liesl
Yeah, I did, but you know, I changed my mind. I'd really like to see how things would go between you and me without her. I'm caring your kid, shouldn't you try to make things work with me before you fuck things up with her and lose all three of us? I thought you'd figure this out.

Brody bit his lip as his stomach twisted at her next message.
To: Liesl From: Brody
Hold up, that's not fair. You can't just change your mind on a whim. I like Kylie. And what, you're really going to ban me from seeing my own kid?
Standing up, he began pacing the room, absolutely fuming.

To: Brody From: Liesl
You are so unbelievably frustrating and complicated. Are you saying you don't like me? You seemed to like me when I was putting out for you, dear. Is your precious Kylie giving you some now? And yeah, maybe I will. Maybe I don't want to subject my kid to your fucked up lifestyle. I should just cut my ties right now and you and Kylie can just be happy together. Then at least I can get through the remainder of this pregnancy without being stressed out. It's not good you know.

Panicking, Brody threw on his jacket, and punched the next message into his phone as he jumped into his car.
To: Liesl From: Brody
I need to see you. NOW

Liesl threw her phone across the room, luckily, it didn't shatter, because it would have been exhilarating at the moment and stress relieving, but she'd want it back later on. She didn't want to see Brody, she was so mad at him for everything and now he was headed over to her house and of course if she said no, he wouldn't listen.
She went and sat outside on the swing to wait for him, folding her arms across her chest, staring out across the yard waiting for him to show up.

Brody screeched to a halt outside her house, absolutely fuming. Climbing haphazardly out of his car, he slammed the door harder than he'd meant to.
Marching across the front lawn, he stood in front of Liesl breathing hard. He didn't bother going over the things they'd already said, he just began his rant. "You know what? You didn't ask me to cover up. And yes, I do like you, and I did like you then. But you didn't ring me either in those two months, so it's not all my fault that we aren't together. I've explained all of this to you. And whether me and Kylie are sleeping together has absolutely nothing to do with you. It's between me and her. And if you even try to cut me out of my kid's life, I will seek custody."

Liesl refused to look at him. He'd made her feel very small and insignificant and she wasn't ready to let him see that. "I told you why I couldn't call you." She mumbled, she thought she'd be stronger than this, able to stand up to him and yell back. "I doubt you'll get what you seek though Brody, because I'm feeling threatened and you've done very little to keep me from feeling stressed, if there is anything wrong with this baby when he or she gets here I'll make sure everyone knows it." She wanted him to leave so she could cry, she didn't want to cry in front of him anymore.

Brody felt the air leave him, and he joined her on the swing, feeling completely deflated. "Ok listen. This isn't how I wanted to tell you. I wanted... I don't know what I wanted but not this. I want us to be friends. I don't want our kid to have parents who don't talk to each other."
Putting his head in his hands, he sighed deeply. "And I won't seek custody. I just said that cause I was mad. I know that children need their mother as much as they need their father."

Liesl moved over when he sat down on the swing beside her, she didn't want to be next to him and really wanted her space. He wasn't making anything easy on her and she was sure he never would, it would always be a constant battle. Which was why she was having a hard time believing he wouldn't seek custody. "You'd take everything away from me." A tear slipped down her cheek and she turned away from him even more to hide it. "You've taken you away from me and you'll take my kid and I'll be left with nothing." She was glad the tear that had escaped, didn't show up in her voice, maybe she'd be able to cry and not have him see.

Brody shook his head violently, but kept his eyes glued to the ground. His voice shook with emotion as he pieced the words together. "No. I would never do that. Like I said, I know Bean will need you. I'm not so horrible that I would ignore her needs to satisfy what I want."
It doesn't matter what I do... everyone thinks I'm scum. Kylie, Liesl, Mikaela. The only one who doesn't think I'll do awful things is Jade...
Clearing his throat, he decided to give her the only good news he had. "So I uh... I told Jade about Bean. And Danian too. I came home to a whole bunch of baby stuff the other day and I thought they'd worked it out themselves. Turns out that Danian decided to punish Jade for sending him grocery shopping and that's all he brought home." He laughed hollowly, void of any real humour.

Liesl kept her eyes on a spot on the porch and shook her head. "But you'll ignore mine." She muttered. "And if it wouldn't affect Bean you would." She was so angry with him she didn't even laugh at the anecdote he'd shared with her. "It's about time." She made sure he wouldn't be able to tell that she'd been crying and then turned and sat normally on the swing, kicking off the ground so the swing would do what it was made for. "What did they say?"

Brody lifted his feet from the ground as Liesl kicked off, and turned to face her. "I woulnd't intentionally ignore your needs unless there was a good reason. I'm not trying to stress you out, I just need to do what's best for me, as well as trying to keep you happy, and Kylie happy. And I don't know how to juggle, so I'm failing. I'm sorry for that but I'll get better."
He sighed again, his eyes filled with pain. "Jade just nodded and said that she'd help all she could. Danian was mad, but only because I said...I said.. I said I wasn't marrying you. He thinks I should man up. But look at us now, all we're doing is fighting and that's not ok for a kid to hear." He paused and forced a smile. "I haven't told Mikaela yet, I haven't really seen her in the last few days."
