Kavi nodded, ordering for Marissa, then getting himself and MinKyon a sandwich, hot chocolate, and iced mocha. After ordering, he led the girls over to an empty table. MinKyon looked happily at Marissa, then to her daddy. "아빠, 언니 예뻐 (Daddy, big sister is pretty)." Kavi stopped himself from blushing, glad she stuck with Korean and hoping the look he saw from Marissa earlier meant she didn't understand it. "shh." He told her simply.

Marissa looked at the little girl as she spoke, and then up at Kavi curiously. She had no idea what the girl was saying, but she'd heard Kavi shush her and wanted to know what was said. Not that she'd ask or anything, but she was curious.

Kavi was about to try to make up what MinKyon said when he heard their order called. Getting up quickly, he muttered an "I got it" before Marissa had a chance to even twitch. Coming back with the food in tow, he set Marissa's food in front of her, then put his own tray in front of his seat. Sitting back down, he placed a napkin in front of MinKyon and gave her half of the sandwich he'd gotten for them. After being set up, he smiled, hoping she forgot about what Kyon said. "It smells good, I hope you enjoy it."

Marissa would've offered to go get the food but Kavi beat her too it. Instead she sat quietly, waiting for him to come back. Once he did she thanked him with a smile and nodded at his statement. "It does smell good. Thank you." She grabbed her spoon, pulling her bowl of soup closer to her and blowing on it before sipping it. "It is good. How is yours?"

Kavi just nodded at first, his mouth full. Once he had swallowed, he finally told her, "It's good. The food is good here." MinKyon also nodded, "Yummy!" She piped in, all smiles.

"I really like this place." Marissa smiled a bit, eating more of her soup. She glanced at her sandwich, sighing softly. She really wanted to eat it, but she knew if she did then she would be hungry later. Marissa took a sip of her water before returning to the soup.

Kavi was looking at Marissa curiously. Not meaning to be rude, but still being blunt, he asked, "Why do I get the feeling I just offered a homeless person to lunch?" His voice had a teasing, though friendly tone.

Marissa looked up at Kavi, eyes wide. "Uh...m-maybe because you did...?" She wasn't sure what he'd thought before hand, but she'd thought it had been pretty obvious that she was homeless. Maybe it wasn't.

Kavi nodded. "You mentioned you never got along with you parents, right? Was it that you ran away?" He asked her, purely out of curiosity. For him personally, he would forever be grateful to his parents for sticking up for him and helping him take care of MinKyon so he could get through school, but he knew a lot of people didn't get along with their parents. Even Akio had issues sometimes with their parents. "You have nowhere else to stay?"

"It wasn't that I got along with them..." Marissa sighed. "Okay, maybe it was. It was just...they thought that I should do one thing, and I didn't to become what they wanted me to be. I didn't have my own life, so I left." She ran her finger around the outer rim of her cup. At his question she shook her head, glancing up at him. "No, I stay at the park..." she had no idea why she was telling him this but she figured her life couldn't get any worse than it already was.

Kavi listened intently, every so often glancing at his daughter as he checked to make sure she was still eating and not just drinking her hot chocolate. As Marissa finished her explanation, he shifted in his seat. "Really?" He asked her, wide eyed. He couldn't imagine living outdoor like that. He debated offering her a place in the Choi household. Not like there was a place for them to stay, especially after TaeHyun and HyunSu moved in, and he tried quickly to think of what his parents would say to him bringing home a homeless teen. A few choice words would get her to stay with them, but until then it would be cautious glares and endless questions like, what do you think is? An animal to keep? He sighed, maybe if he saw her again after this encounter he could bring up the offer, but he felt now wouldn't be a good time, considering they'd met not even two hours ago. Even though MinKyon seemed to like her, Kyon would like anyone she felt would be a "good match for daddy," even when it was just the supermarket cashier who was twice his age. "You've got no where to stay?" He finally asked her, not meaning to pry, but purely worried for her safety.

Marissa took another sip of her soup, watching as Kavi thought over what she said. At his question, she shook her head. "No, I've been in the park for the last couple months." She didn't mention that she had no idea what she would do once her money ran out. She took a sip of her milkshake, shivering as the cold went down her throat. "Wow, this is good."

Kavi tilted his head, "What about somewhere like a YMCA or homeless shelter?" He asked, trying to find someway to say goodbye to this girl later and still have a guilt-free conscience.

Marissa quickly shook her head. "No, I can't. They'd just send me back." She wasn't sure if they would or not, but she didn't want to take any chances. "I-I'll be fine at the park, don't worry." Honestly, Marissa found it sweet that he was worried, even if it was probably because he felt sorry for her.

Kavi nodded solemnly, deciding for now what he could was get her a blanket, as it was starting to get colder. May even a sleeping bag. He'd have to remember to get one later. "아빠 (Daddy), I'm done." MinKyon said suddenly, breaking Kavi out of his thoughts. "Oh..." Kavi replied simply, crumpling up the napkin she had the sandwich on. He looked to his own sandwich, barely touched. He took a bite of it, trying to figure out what to say next. Even though he was the one to have had a girlfriend before, he always felt he was more awkward when it came to talking with girls than his brother.
