Brody lifted his head and watched Liesl, the smile still on his face. "I uh.. I hope that was an ok song. I kind of don't know any songs that are for girl or boy." He grinned sheepishly and moved himself so that he rested his head next to hers once more.
He glanced at her slightly uneasily, his glow starting to fade. "So...this is a little less innocent than I'd uh...than I'd planned." He knew this probably wasn't the best thing to say but if he was going to tell Kylie something, it was probably best that Liesl knew the story he was going with.
Running his fingers through his hair, he turned his head to face her properly and found himself dumbstruck.

Liesl opened her eyes and smiled at Brody. "It was fine." She said, turning her head as he repositioned his head near hers. "I..." She began but the uneasy look on his face shut her up and the words coming out of his mouth made her turn her head completely and stare up at the ceiling. One....two....three.... She continued to count, but making it to three stopped the tears that were forming and she looked back at him, surprised to see him in a different position again and staring.
"I know it wasn't..." She started. "I don't think you can help it though." She took a deep breath. "I don't want you to help it either." She said, quietly. "I like that you can't help yourself and that I feel so comfortable with you."

Brody smiled sheepishly, and bit his lip. "You're right about that. I can't keep myself away from you. And I'm not sure whether it's because you're carrying my child, or because of some other reason but whatever it is I can't seem to fight it very well."
Sitting up on the bed, he crossed his legs and sighed, staring at the ceiling. "So then what do I do? If I can't stay away from you, and I can't have you both..." He paused and grinned mischeviously. "Or maybe you'd be open to that idea?"

Liesl turned her body so her head was in his lap, but she was still looking up into his face and her legs were dangling off the edge of the bed, it looked a little odd and uncomfortable, but oddly she thought it was comfortable. She grinned up at him and shook her head ever so slightly. "I think you and I both know what that other reason is." She continued to grin up at him, giving him a knowing look. "This little one has something to do with it, but that's not it, you admitted it before, you love me and the reason you can't fight it very well is because you don't want to..." She lowered her eyes to his chest and let her fingers dance there.
Her eyes didn't remain turned away for long she put that grin back on her face and stared up at him once again. "Kylie wouldn't go for that." She laughed and sat up, turning and with a little difficulty straddled his crossed legs. "And I'm sure if she would, neither of us would last very long sharing you."

Brody watched as her fingers traced across his chest and closed his eyes. The words she was saying made him flinch internally. He wasn't sure why he was so hesitant to to speak the words out loyd. It had been bad enough over text.
He laughed as she straddled him and poured slightly. "Don't you think I'd be fair to you both? We could be Mormon or whatever the religion is that let's me have more than one wife." He grinned mischeviously and wrapped his arms around her. "Ok then, so if I love you, where does that leave me and Kylie?". His heart sank. He knew he wasn't being fair to Kylie, sneaking around behind her back. True, he'd never made a proper commitment, but if some guy had done this to one of his sisters, he would have personally removed his two front teeth for him. Sighing, he buried his face in her shoulder. "Tell me what to do. What to say that doesn't end with her thinking I'm the worst guy in the world. And stop my best friend coming after me?"

Liesl shook her head but decided to take his first question as a rhetorical question, she was pretty sure he could figure out her answer on his own without her verbally stating it. She tilted her head to the side with his next question and rolled her eyes, she wasn't so fond of the word 'if' thrown in there as if there was actually a possibility that he didn't actually love her, it wasn't up for discussion either, she was certain of it. She wasn't exactly a people reader, but she was more than sure Brody's attraction wasn't based soley on a physical point.
Liesl brought both of her hands up to the back of his head, ran her fingers through his blond hair and pulled it, subsequently drawing his head back so she could stare into his deep blue eyes. "I honestly don't know where that leaves you and Kylie or what you should tell her. Or, even how you can do it without causing her any pain or causing your best friend to come after you." She sighed and looked away. "You could bury your feelings for me, ditch me completely, with the exception of things regarding your child, and just date her exclusively. Then you won't hurt her feelings or risk having your best friend coming after you, alright?" There was enough hurt packed into that offer to suggest she wasn't really interested in that route being taken.

Brody looked up at her face, and sighed lightly. He knew he faced an incredibly important decision very soon. Once their child arrived, he couldn't mess around like he was doing now. It wouldn't be fair to either Liesl or Kylie, and it wouldn't be fair to the kid either.
He visibly flinched as she gave him the second option, and sighed again more heavily. "I...I don't know what I'm going to do. I honestly don't. I think I need some time on my own to figure it out." He looked into her eyes imploringly. "Please don't be mad ok? I don't want to hurt anyone, but I know I'm going to, so I just need to make sure the decision I make is the right one."

Liesl drew in a slow breath and avoided his eyes. "I can't promise I won't be mad at you, just like I can't promise Kylie won't be mad at you. You're going to hurt someone, you deserve to have someone mad at you." She kissed his cheek and crawled off his lap to side of the bed closest to the wall. "I don't want to be mad at you, but maybe you should think about who you'd least like mad at you. Who do you think is going to trust you afterward? Who do you think is going to get over being mad at you the fastest?" She adjusted the pillows behind her and focused her eyes and hands on the dome of her belly. "I'm kinda glad I'm not you." She glanced at him and winked. "I'll uh, see you when you make your decision then?"

Brody smiled halfheartedly and pulled on his pants. "Yeah, I guess so. I don't know how long it'll take though, I mean..uh...There's a lot.." He trailed off, running his fingers through his hair.
Shoving his shoes on his feet, he paused at the door and looked back at her. Holy crap. She's so beautiful. What the hell do I do?
Sighing, he crossed back to the bed and kissed her softly. Pulling back, he traced the shape of her face. "Ok. I do love you. But I'm not sure how much comfort that is to you." He stopped once more at the door. "I'll call you. Hopefully soon."

Liesl turned her head away after he kissed her for what would probably be a long time or the last time. She didn't budge from her spot in bed, not even when she heard the car pull away. Her fingers danced over her belly but she wasn't watching them, she was thinking about Kylie. Tears sprang to her eyes as she imagined Brody and Kylie holding hands and being intimate with one another. Kylie would be the better choice for Brody, she had everything going for her. She had the looks, the car, for all Liesl knew, and most of all Kylie would have the ability to shut Brody out for good if the relationship didn't pan out. The town was small, sure, but there were plenty of ways to ignore someone if you wanted. Liesl would have to deal with Brody for the next eighteen years and then some even if they no longer cared for one another's company. It could end on Tyler's eighteenth birthday, but then she'd see him again at the wedding and graduations and any other time parents were invited to join in the celebration with their children. "Tyler darling, you're daddy is going to make my life hell."
